Quick first visit — loved the flat white and super tasty leek toasted sandwich. Will be back again.

I really loved Caffeine &Co when they had that pop-up in Quay House. A Cozy, chic and stylish little coffee house in Spinningfields, who provided nice coffee. This is the permanent location of this much loved Manchester coffee brand, which is located in Old Granada Studio and about 150 meters from the Quay House. It’s not much larger than the previous coffee house in my opinion. Very simple docor except for the little Mondrian style on bringing some colour into this coffee shop. I have been thinking about coming in since it was opened since the middle of October. So I got a chance to pop in for some lunch with a flat white and a snack today. They have cold sandwiches and three selection of hot food on menu. The Butternut squash and sage pearl barley risotto is very healthy and filling. The flat white is still the way I remembered and loved when it’s produced in The Quay House. The dark chocolate chilli fig is the thing you definitely should not miss. It tastes divine.

I was about to give this place a 4-star review however the owner was super friendly and the shop itself made up for the one star it lacks from its café latte. I had a latte and it was great. It tasted refined without the burnt/bitter taste of most coffee served at most places. The only minor thing it lacks was the foam. I personally prefer a smooth thicker foam.(You can see it in the picture that the bubbles of the foam is a bit too big to give it the smooth texture). It could be just a fluke this one time. I get quite chatty so I may have distracted the barista when he was steaming the milk. :-) Definitely the best coffee I’ve had in Manchester so far.* I had the coco-date ball along with my coffee. It was healthy and delicious. *disclaimer: I’ve only visited Manchester twice.

This place is a little life saver. I had been complaining that there was no where to grab a coffee on my way to work. I had clearly forgotten this place! Best coffee out side of the quarter! The place is tiny, and lacks Wi-Fi so it a take out and go place for me, however in the few minutes I’m in there the staff had also been great. They will chat to you and handle me in my morning haze. As a side note — the cakes are also good!

I am forever hunting for nice coffee. Caffine & Co is great and serves wonderful coffee. Its a tiny little shop with a counter and few tables outside. The flat white is perfect, and the cakes and sandwiches look lovely. It’s a little hidden away on a side street so if you are looking for it.

Been in here twice now, and that is easily enough times to make me know that it is the best little coffee shop in Manc in which to get a gingerbread latte or cortado. They have some seriously nice looking bagels/sarnies too, and the ginger cake is lovely. To top it all off the Guy in there is also really friendly too. Go there, it’s an Indie, and I don’t mean a boring film about an adventuring archeologist…

This is supposed to be the best espresso in Manchester and it definitely lives up to the reputation. The space itself is tiny which means you’ll want to go here for a quick sip at the counter and be on your way but the friendly staff will make you a mean espresso and direct you to their favourite other shops if you’re looking for filtered coffee. I loved the espresso, the cups & saucers, and the staff. If you’re in Manchester and looking for a quick espresso, this is your dream!

I popped in here for a coffee before my appointment next door at the Skin Health Spa because it looked rather funky from the outside and I’m so glad I did. A tiny little place that’s just off John Dalton Street with probably the best coffee in Manchester. Way beyond the offerings at Costabuckro. I had a cortado that transported me back to Fuerteventura and a moist and spicy slab of ginger cake that was a deep rich brown and a perfect little pick me up. I could have eaten all the sandwiches on offer too if I had the time, money and capacity… Rubens, salmon bagels and baguettes stuffed with divine looking salamis that made my appetite do a Mike Tyson blow! I loved the place and I now need an excuse to have some more beauty therapies done just so I can pop in, it would be rude not to!

A tiny little place, blink and you’ll miss it. But the coffee? The best in Manchester, in fact, the best I have ever tasted(Yes, I preferred it so Salvi’s). Their coffee comes from the square mile coffee roasters in London– one of those indie artisan roasters– its stunning stuff. Having tried a café macchiato and a cappuccino which were both delicious, I say you MUST visit this place. Go now!
