Café Nero. This coffee shop is a chain of coffee shops all over the UK. Nice place to just sit, chill and people watch. Staff are very friendly in this store. My favourite is the red velvet cake and a pot of tea. You can get a loyalty card and once you get nine stamps you get a free drink

Caffe Nero basically always serves a purpose to me — it’s not a bad chain and probably the coffee is the best of all the main chains but I do find it’s mainly useful for the likes of meetings and working when you need to get your head down and not bump into anyone.
The macchiato always hits the spot and their fruit blend ice drinks can be a nice refreshing choice if you’re after something on a hot day.
Overall they mainly tend to have quite a lot of space upstairs to work in and the wifi is fast on the cloud. Serves a purpose and not usually a bad experience.

A nice cozy Caffè Nero coffee shop, right by the Town Hall with really comfortable window seats and great views of the Town Hall and the trams and perfect for people watching, The window seats go really quickly though. The baristas were friendly and efficient, I had the Amaretto Latte which is a Christmas favourite, this drink is an Italian twist on Amaretto, with a slightly sweet flavour that pairs perfectly with the classic Caffè Nero Latte. It is made with rich, aromatic full bodied espresso with the addition of perfectly warmed milk and a dash of foam with a shot of amaretto syrup. A bit sweet but perfect on a wintery day. Im quite a fan of the Caffe Nero coffee due to its lovely tasting flavour and richness. This was my first visit to this Caffè Nero and i really like it, It also had a nice relaxed atmosphere to the place and also has free wifi!

What I noticed most about this particular Nero was its tranquil atmosphere. I visited on a Saturday afternoon when town was at its craziest and the café was playing a chilled out soundtrack and was about 2⁄3 full. The coffee was pretty average, not as good as the one I had on Deansgate a few weeks back. Service was good and the almond cake like a Bakewell tart was yummy. Only 3 stars tho because I’m rating the coffee!

I enjoy the coffee in Nero’s. Always a reasonable level of people to give it a decent atmosphere. Little off the beaten track for shoppers at a weekend so good for getting a seat in a more relaxed environment!

I know that all Neros are supposed to offer the same level of service product etc but as they are staffed by individuals there are variations in service. This is one of the friendliest in Manchester based purely on it’s current staff as always the coffee is by far superior to ‘other’ coffee shops and the willingness of the staff to go the extra just takes this to a higher level.
