Enjoyed Tuesday night social group meet here, and on their 2 courses for £10 deal. Nice feel to the place too, as early in the week around 7pm, and not too busy, or too quiet either — just the way I like it ! The deal has quite an eclectic menu(shall we say), and we all opted for main and desserts — all going for the same, the Classic Homemade Beef Burger. Beautifully presented(as you can see) on a bit of slate, and very tasty it was too. The desserts too were pretty good, and I chose the Chocolate, Orange and Mascarpone Mousse cake(maybe cream, or ice cream on the side would have made it even better ?). The service was excellent too. The deal is available Sunday to Thursday, so it is well worth giving it a go. The standard menu has plenty of choice for other occasions.

I’ve been to All Bar One twice. The first time was really enjoyable. I had lunch on a Sunday afternoon with my other half and some friends. We opted for burgers of some description(it was a while ago) and were really impressed with the presentation, flavour etc. Second visit was on a bustling Saturday night when the queue for the bar was about 10 people deep, the music loud and the clientele a little on the lets-get-smashed-and-have-a-punch-up side of things. Needless to say, we didn’t stay for another drink.

All Bar One seems to be a place I mainly go with work colleagues — it’s round the corner from where most of our out-of-office meetings are held. I’ve been a frequent visitor here for years and will continue to go. Is it one of my favourite bars in Manchester? No. But it attracts nice people — mainly business persons who work in the King St area. Their wine list is great — and the staff are always happy to recommend something to complement whatever you’re eating. Today I opted for a cocktail — Disaronno Sour, one of my all time favourites and it was perfect. Just what I needed after my meeting. I have eaten at All Bar One a few times — fish finger butty always stands out for me which gave a classy twist to a childhood favourite. I’ve had some tapas here once and it was okay. The atmosphere is good. Worth a visit if you’re in the area and fancy a drink or a bite.

All Bar One is ok. I used to come here a lot 7 — 10 years ago when I worked round the corner and back then was a bit like the bars in Spinningfields are now — full of lawyers and other professional types. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing necessarily but I do still think of this as my old after work place so hardly come any more. Last Saturday, I had to do a hen night and 40th in one night, and the hen night was starting at All Bar One. It’s the first time I’ve been for years. There was a reserved table for us, which is handy to know for anyone needing to reserve space for a large group. The drinks are standard King St prices really. Not too extortionate but not cheap either. I had the pink prosecco and it was good and was about £5. We also had cocktails in teapots — one was Long Island ice tea and the other I can’t remember but tasted pimms-y. I tasted both, just for research obviously. It had a better atmosphere than I remember but maybe it’s because it’s a different crowd. I’ll definitely remember this place more and maybe try some food here sometime.

I do actually visit here relatively often as it’s equidistant between a few friends offices but I’m not a fan. I can’t give it less than a two because it does what it wants to, well. It’s just not my cup of tea at all. Expensive lager and generic chain design. It’s ok but I’d much rather go round the corner to a ChopHouse.

In the weekly installment of ‘me and my friend have a hard day at work and go out for dinner’(previous have included numerous visits to Dogs & Dough, Dimitris, and Topkapi Palace) we headed to All Bar One. Not wanting a huge meal due to a) money and b) not being that hungry, we opted for some tapas/sharing plates from the start of the menu. It wasn’t difficult to choose; cutting out the fish from the menu meant we were left with lots of meat and veggie options to go through. Luckily, we have very similar taste, so this wasn’t difficult! We had meatballs, halloumi, hummus and bread, chicken satay, and some cured salami-esque meat. There was so much bread! The halloumi and tomato skewers came with some, and the hummus obviously came with a whole pile, even the cured meat had some! This was perfect for dipping not only in the hummus, but also the sauce from the meatballs. The meatballs were probably my favourite dish, if a bit dense, followed by the hummus — but how hard is it to get hummus right? A good meal, but I don’t think it’s good enough for the price tag.

All Bar One is one of the classy bars, one of those bars you can find a nice crowd in. A pretty nice bar in the city centre of Manchester on King Street, Its Pretty cool with the design and its a bar where you want to go once you’ve finished work or a nice chilled out drink on a saturday afternoon. Theres loads of places to sit and little quiet corners to chill out, its very well laid out and the whole place has a great atmosphere. The food menu looks good but never eat here. My only bad point though is that the service is very slow and can take ages to order a drink! But its a cool bar and i like it!

When I worked in Spinningfields(yes, that old chestnut again — hey, it’s the only ‘normal’ job I’ve ever held!) I used to automatically love and hate All Bar One in equal measure. Porquoi? Parce que I always walked past it at lunchtimes, it smelt simply brilliant and on sunny days there were people who didn’t fall within a 9 – 5 schedule drinking chardonnay. How rubbish did that feel when I had to go back after raiding the Urban Outfitters sale and eat spreadsheets all afternoon? All Bar One is an ominous sounding name. It’s like a commandment from a George Orwell book. But it’s also home to some truly excellent little money-saving offers, like dinner for a fiver or picking and choosing small plates and getting many more free. Yummers. Okay, so it’s a chain and can be a little boring. But I’ve always found that its intimate location along the very posh part of King Street means it’s a great place to relax, and I only needed to say three words to coerce a boy in my life into it. ‘Erdinger on tap.’ Yes.(I like it too.) Open for breakfast as well as the usual lunch and dinner, this is a much-needed little refuelling stop comfortably tucked away behind the main stretch of shops, meaning it doesn’t really get stuffed with mainstream crowds, although on weekdays it is full of suits. In the mornings no matter which full English you order you’re welcome to help yourself to toast(which you toast yourself, meaning no arguments about how brown it should be), so you can eat as much as you like. Lighter bites include bacon ciabattas, scrambled eggs at just £2.50, eggs Benedict and Florentine and plenty of preserves with bread. The small tastes menu includes the likes of falafel, bruschetta, quesadillas and skewers. You can get bundles to share between two, three or five, and as for bigger meals there’s your usual burgers alongside tempting salads and some hearty sandwiches(the unique twist on Welsh rarebit being my favourite with its sundried tomato and olive bread, cheese with wholegrain mustard and mango and apricot chutney). The wines are confusingly placed into ‘good’, ‘great’ and ‘best’ categories… is there a more subtle way to say that the more you spend the better it’ll taste? Still, there are plenty of interesting cocktails including some winter warmers for the cold snaps. A range of unusual beers like the aforementioned Erdinger as well as Paulaner, Peroni and Duvel are all available on tap. I can’t tell fibs, I thoroughly enjoyed my food and beverages here and found it to be very comfortable. Definitely a good option for avoiding the crowds and enjoying some down time.

Nice bar in a great location particularly for after work drinks. There’s a good selection and for the few times I’ve been in there has been a nice crowd which always plays a part in my experience. There is a nice atmosphere here and an excellent selection. Slight down side to this place was in the pricey side but nit really a problem because everything was good and my only reason for leaving a star is that the service is stupidly slow. Tonight u stood for 25 mins waiting to be served where the queue wasn’t even 2 deep, this coupled with lots of barmen running round doing nothing wasn’t great.

As a worker in the City Centre, I feel like I should hang out in All Bar One more. Everyone in there seems to be wearing a suit, and whenever a lunchtime drink is mentioned or a lunch date with a insignificant clients appears All Bar One seems to be banded about a lot. Don’t get me wrong — this is no bad thing, but it does create a certain atmosphere. Whenever I go there, I fell like I should be on my best behaviour somebody in the room knows who I am and will report me for cheekily having a 3rd Chardonnay of a Friday when I still have 4 hours of «work» to go back to. This makes me feel slightly on edge, especially as King Street is home to the recruitment consultants clan; I fell like one step wrong and I’ll be blacklisted from employment for the rest of my working life(perhaps no bad thing?) Having said this, the food is good, the service excellent and more often that not, there is a voucher you can print off which entitles you to a bit of a bargain. The coffee is well, made, well priced AND comes with a little pot of Smarties; fab!

All Bar One. Gets a hard time because they’re all the same and not that fun. But i feel people should be more appreciative. Part of the Mitchell’s and Butler brand, which also includes O’Neills, Scream bars and many more, this is without doubt the furthest away from an independed bar you can get. However, this has a number of perks, which should not be forgotten. They have a huge drinks range and these are all kept very well. Beers are crisp and cold, and European. They always have a good 10 types in, and they all come in the correct glasses. Food is really decent too. Although its about £8−10 for a main, they often have a 2−4−1 offer on the website so you just need to print of a voucher and suddenly you’ve got great value. The burgers are amazing, and come with plenty of topping options. Even the falafel one is good, and thats for girls.

I was out on a Friday night with my boyfriend, and we were panicking cuz we were in town, we didn’t want to hit the pubs, so we were wondering around a bit. And then, right in front of the office where he works, we saw this little bar. Pretty smart and casual, with nice environment. Why not? Interesting music inside, chill and pleasant. The staff was alright as well. Ready to serve you. Cleaning the tables really quick after different customers. Well, we had some cocktails, and I must say they were absolutely gorgeous. The prices are quite right for what the bar is offering. I didn’t try the food, but they didn’t have anything tempting. It happened to be a b-day party in there as well. People were enjoying and saying that ‘this place is absolute amazing, they don’t wanna go home’. So, if you want something not too smart, but not too casual either, you should definitely go to this bar at least for a couple of drinks.

Vibrant atmosphere, welcoming to all. Good selection of beers, European ones especially. Bar snack food is ok but not restaurant standards. Great meeting point before going off to a restaurant.

I like All Bar One. I agree with James that it is mainly business types that you get in there but that’s because it’s a nice bar, centrally located around Spring Gardens with loads of offices surrounding it. It’s not pretentious, you don’t have to try to hard, it’s perfect for an after work drink. This place is buzzing on Friday when the city workers have finished for the weekend, it’s quite a good place to be in because it has really good atmosphere of people letting their hair down. There’s a really good range of beer and wine and they do sell food too although I’ve never been there specifically for that, we ordered some of the«bundles» that they sell, kind of like tapas, small plates of chorizo, quesadilla, meatballs etc. What I had was nice but All Bar One is surrounded by tons of places well known for amazing food so it’s never a place that comes to mind.

Should really be called ‘All Bar One Yah’ as from the amount of suits and slicked back hairdos in there at lunch time, that’s probably how it gets referred to most! Really nondescript dinner time refuelling station/after work watering hole for city professionals who haven’t yet worked their way up to going the Bar & Grill! Don’t bother.

We usually visit for lunches and level of service can change from fantastic to terrible, but the Tapas are a great sharing option especially for groups and not to badly priced. Not ventured in the evening as it gets very busy by the time we finish but overall not to bad all depends on the serving staff.
