I had to leave here to get away from the world’s worst bar maid working on a Sunday afternoon, who after showing zero skills in being able to observe when a customer wanted attention actually told me off for raising my arm when asking for a drink. After 3 attempts, trying to obtain service and just seeing this rude, helpless person ignore the customers, I left in relief.

I recently went here during the day for lunch. I was attracted by the cheap prices, but I’ll be returning for the tasty food and excellent service. I would definitely recommend it if you’re in the area.

On the plus side it serves real ale just does not keep them very well. Lots if dark wood and dark tables bit of a wonky layout and exactly the cleanest.

Decent pub, I have had many a good time in here, good friendly atmos, usually have music at the weekend out in the courtyard which is a plus. The beers are good, lager is ok, have a wide selection of ale’s which seem to rotate which is a good thing, also do food during the day which is decent at a reasonable price, so all in all, worth a look.

I am the friend stated in the below review, for years we enjoyed excellent meals, warm welcomes and a league of gentility never seen in my existance by this bearded man of whom we speak, we have visited 3 times in the last 6 months and much to our severe disheartenment and disappointment our barman has just not been there, instead we were left waiting for ages for our cold food and although taken back and replaced no adjustment was made to our bill, we feel if our bearded friend had of been present these staff members may well have been hung, drawn and quartered in the smoking courtyard out the back which seems practical for public hangings even at the prospect of our food being 10 minutes behind schedule. It would not suprise me if this gentleman had been head hunted by Savoy Grill in London but where ever he is we want him back cos we will not be returning to the druids until its been sorted out, Before, a lovely pub with a great enviroment and good music, now. disappointing.

Decent beer, not a big selection but decent. Great food selection at an amazing price! American classic rock on the jukebox, which I found funny.

Dark, comfortable, slightly rock pub with a good range of hand pulled beers which makes it unique for Maidstone town centre. Also has a pleasant courtyard for smokers. Offers a limited menu and live bands at the weekend. Often crowded in the evenings and weekends with people looking for a decent drink in town.
