Comfortable pizza pub between downtown Maidenhead and the station. The Bell is part of the Pizza Kitchen Bar chain that has locations around England. This was the first restaurant we tried after moving to the Maidenhead area, so I can’t say how it compares to other places around here, but we thought it was alright. The food seemed a little hit and miss, but decent overall. I was less than enthusiastic about the dough balls, which I found rather dry and heavy compared to pizza dough balls that I’ve had at other pizza chains. I probably wouldn’t order them again, and I usually love dough balls! My husband had one of the burgers though, and thought it was well prepared, good flavors, and a good size. We would go back and try this place again, but I doubt it will become my favorite restaurant in Maidenhead. We’ll see though, I’ll update this reviews after we’ve tried it again!

There are little TV’s dotted around the place so you can catch up on some sport. Or you can play some pool. It’s not super cheap and it can get busy Friday’s but it’s a nice place to chill and listen to some music.

The Bell is a large space, located in Maidenhead town centre. They play great music and offer free wifi(see bartender for password). There is outdoor seating, however, it seems to be the smoker hangout, so I guess there isn’t any outdoor seating for non-smokers. The flip side is that on nice days, they open the doors and let the cool breeze flow through the space. Plenty of pub games(pool, darts) and couches for those who really want to lounge around and have a couple cocktails.

this is a great place. i sometimes pop in here for a light bite to eat and a pint of a lunchtime. the best thing about it is the large number of pool tables. there are 6 or 7 tables. there is always someone playing who you can challenge. also plenty of space betwee the tables so no bumping into the people on the next pool table. I also like the fact that there are lots of TV screens around the place showing various sporting events. all in all a good pub for food — it is reasonably priced for simple things like burgers and chips.

This place is ok to pop in for a quick one if your in the town and the prices seem very competitive, I bought 2 drinks and had change out of a fiver!(Where have I heard that before?) The pub itself was clean enough, lots of noise from the sport on the tellies which I wasn’t really interested i so sat away from it and then realised there was a speaker right above our heads! No real ale here so had to settle for a gassy pint of Tetleys. This is obviously a blokey pub, the only female in here was behind the bar. I imagine this place gets lively at weekends and most of the people in seemed to be regulars. The only downside to the place, apart from the lack of real ale was the mens toilets, a single trough that was full of urine, overflowing and stank. Otherwise the pub was very clean and is handy for the station as its right across the road.

If you ever feel the need to pop in for a drink on your own whilst in town, The Bell Pub is a perfect host for it’s friendly and relaxed atmosphere welcomes young and aged, old faces and newcomers! The pub was redocorated a few years ago in a very chique and modern style promoting open space for regulars to get to know eachother and encourage a friendly atmosphere. The pub offers free wi-fi internet access in a seperate, comfortable seating area, poll and snooker tables, live, big screen sports games and great ‘pub-grub’ menu at decent prices! Saturday afternoons offer a great atmosphere to get you in the mood for an even better Saturday night!
