Noodle Nation

We went here on a trip where we stayed for three days in Maidenhead and looked for some decent food.
We picked this, because of the reviews, but the food was just almost okay. It was very loud, tables could have been cleaner. Not going again.

Bland Chinglish food with lacklustre service. Okay if you are hungry and needing a big meal. Just don’t expect flavour other than sweet or salty. Tip: If you order a starter make sure you ask them to bring it out before your meal or you will be getting it all at once!

Noodle Nation is a favorite in our family, the kids devour the chicken satay skewers like there’s no tomorrow. I love the Singapore fried noodles which is just the right kind of spicy.
Great take away, but too loud for eating in.

Weren’t impressed seemed like poor quality low end fast food wished I ordered a proper Chinese don’t do it

This place is popular with my family and it’s easy to see why. It’s a similar model to Wagamama’s.
The food is varied and tasty. They have all sorts of noodles and the dishes we tried with the various styles of noodles were well received.

Stopped in for a quick lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the Chili and Garlic with Chicken (#120) and it was incredibly bland. My husband ordered the Wok Fried Rice with Chicken and it had a little bit of flavor but not as much as I would have expected.
I will order the Wok Fried Rice with Chicken dish if/​when we return to Noodle Nation.

Awesome place for a takeaway and it’s usually full of people if you wanna eat in, too! And the prices are really great.
–Duck spring rolls — MUST GET! These are amazing
–Edamame — Not that great
–Salt & Pepper squid — Awesome and spicy
–Praw toast — OK
–Green curry — Always delish
–Mixed meat with oyster sauce — simple and tasty
–Udon noodles are my fav to get with any of the dishes

Good hot food, fast. Limited menu and an awful lot of deep frying going on. A guilty pleasure for the occasional pre-​cinema meal or take out. You can be sure you wont be kept waiting!

only been once. it has a good vibe. The food: I preferred it more than wagamama’s, though my husband says it is because the food is blander. i am bot knowledgable about the type of food and how it should be, but if you want somewhere chilled and casual, this fits the bill. i was caught out when a starter platter was bought out at the same time as all our mains…

A noodle bar done out in the large table and benches style familiar to anyone who’s been to a branch of Wagamama. There’s also a few window ‘bar’ seats for lonely diners or for those who want to watch Maidenhead life go by (although for the life of me I can’t imagine why you’d want to do that).
The venue itself is light and airy — a pleasant place to be in, even when a little full and most of the staff are polite and attentive.
Unfortunately the food here doesn’t quite match up to the rest of the experience. It’s edible enough and relatively healthy, and you could do a lot worse for lunch. However, the cooking really isn’t quite up to scratch. I’ve been here a few times, in the hope that I’ve just visited the place on off days, but it seems that the cooking is decidedly average.
My wok-​fried beef ho fun, for instance, had obviously been thrown into the wok before the wok had got hot enough. The beef was pale, the ho fun lacked the occasional crispiness you’d expect and the veg lacking any crunch. It was as if they’d just re-​heated pre-​cooked ingredients rather than cooked it from scratch. I’m sure they didn’t, but that’s how it tasted.
When you opt for a wok-​fried noodle dish here, the variety of vegetables chucked in with your noodles is limited, reinforcing the impression that there’s not quite an understanding of how food like this should be served.
I think Noodle Nation has the potential to be much better than it is, but at the moment it feels like a Harvester of noodle restaurants: a competent, unexciting approximation of someone’s second-​hand impression of a cuisine gathered from watching food tv.

My absolute favourite place to eat!!! Service is ALWAYS extrodinarily fast. Food is excellent and always so much of it. My eyes are always too big for my belly in here!
Its definately a must place to go!
