Weld Blundell Arms

This is quite a nice, traditional pub that offers everything you’d expect a pub like this to. Shame it’s in Lydiate though, which isn’t exactly renowned for its buzzing nightlife.
If you’re looking for a decent place to have a quiet drink though, the Weld Blundell Arms isn’t a bad place to go. Offering a comfortable setting both inside and out (there’s a nice outdoor area), it’s a pub that is usually quite busy which the locals and regulars who are all friendly enough.
The beer on offer there is decent enough and all available at very reasonable prices, whilst the bar staff there are friendly and cheerful at all times. There is also a popular weekly quiz night at the Weld Blundell, which offers a half-​time selection of sandwiches as well as a fairly entertaining and interesting quiz all for just a pound.
