Yes I like Monarch Airlines and I like their crew. In 1999 I flew Monarch return to The Gambia, 2005 return to Egypt and 2009 return to Menorca. I feel safe on Monarch Airlines. They do not provide much legroom but being short there’s enough room for me. In 1996 I wrote to Monarch Airlines(before I’d ever flown with them) to enquire whether or not they’d had an aircraft chartered for a flight to the Airbus Factory in Toulouse as I suspected the organiser was a conman. I had a nice reply from the Luton headquarters that answered my question.

I have travelled with Monarch Airlines to the Canaries, Balearics mainland Spain and most recently to Lapland. The crew are always very pleasant and accommodating and the planes are pretty punctual. My overall impression has been one of great value for money with the option to spend extra on the things not everyone wants if the need or fancy takes you. Thanks Monarch and keep up the good work.

Monarch USED to be the best, as a silver member regular flights with this airline was a pleasure. The staff/crew were fantastic, the planes modern, the service excellent and prices were competitive. They used to be proud to be different. They then decide to follow the budget airlines road, an MD from Ryanair has not helped and they continue to crash land to the depths of cheap and terrible service. I have just flown back from Almeria with them(my first flight in around a year as I have been using other airlines) and once again I was reminded why I was no longer using them. No one at Monarch cares about the customers or should I say passengers, the cabin crew is about the best but they just have to do what they are told to do. No meals on flights now unless pre booked, unless you want an expensive disgusting inedible Toastini at £3.65 with a coffee for £2.10 that is £5.75 for rubbish, not so long ago a meal was £5 which inc coffee or tea, do they think we are stupid. Are they asking why they have less customers flying, why they now have to cancel routes? Because the once great service has vanished the customers are voting with there feet. Extra charges, and rip offs continue to appear, admin charges to stop you claiming anything back, it is now so expensive to move a flight now it is cheaper to book a new one. Unless Monarch wake up, they will just continue to dive lower and lower.
