While staying at the Luton Hilton Garden Inn, a coworker and I both found positive internet reviews of Jay Raj and decided to give it a try. It was less than a 10 minute walk from the Hilton Garden Inn. A small restaurant but nicely appointed with linen table cloths and lots of friendly and attentive waitstaff. A large selection of Indian foods offered in various sauces and spice levels. As with most Indian restaurants the individual servings were more than enough to share. They have several Indian beers to choose from. Very good meal. Well worth the walk.

My Wife and I stayed in Luton as we were flying out of the airport early the next morning, and were looking for a nice restaurant for dinner. We absolutely found it in Jay Raj. The atmosphere is great, white table cloths, extremely attentive and helpful staff, overall very enjoyable. Now the food. We started with some poppadums; very standard, nothing special here, but the chutneys and pickles were very tasty. For entrees, we ordered a Chicken Tikka Morisa and a Chicken Naga. They were both extremely flavorful, and I would order both again in an instant. However, the Naga was fantastic! It was very spicy, hot enough to get my endorphins going, but not ridiculous. The flavor was very developed, and we couldn’t get enough of it. We had two Naans, a regular Naan and a Kulcha Naan, and both were great. The only drawback to the experience was that we’re not big eaters so there were leftovers we could not take with us on the plane. I thought about that the entire flight to Amsterdam! I might have to find an excuse to got to Luton just to eat here again.

Food is alright, nothing amazing, just a box standard curry really. Got the usual stuff on the menu, staff are very helpful and attentive, the atmosphere inside is relaxing, nothing to complain about so overall a nice decent experience.
