Bensons for Beds

I purchased an expensive Bed from the branch in Luton very bad mistake.
The delivery drivers just drop the item off in numerous packs and don’t give you anytime to inspect (if you’re due a delivery make them wait whilst you inspect every single package).
Once I opened the packages (after they had left) I discovered that the draws were smashed to pieces. I immediately called the branch and the assistants response was ‘not again’. He went to advise that the company was fully aware that an entire consignment of this line was damaged byt they continued shipping them, hoping that people would give up complaining.
Although the staff at the branch were reasonably helpful, all they really do is give you head office number good luck getting through to them. I must have called them 30+ times over the next couple of months. The staff are down right rude. As soon as they realise you have a complaint they either hang up, put you on hold (and never come back to you) or say that a manager will have to call you back, needless to say they never do.
It became evident throughout my momths of chasing that this business is built upon ripping people off. The only way I got it resolved was by threatening to sue the finance company, even then Bensons had the cheek to constantly claim that their records showed that I already had a replacement, if I asked them for the proof of this I was advised that they were under no obligation to proove anything.
Search google for reviews on Bensons for Beds before considering even stepping in to one of their stores. Lots and lots of similar stories, even from elderly couples forced to sleep on the floor for months on end.
This company should be closed down.
