The Lowestoft Bakers Oven is the worst I have visited. The place is always rammed and there is normally only one or two members of staff servicing at the take away counter. The rest of the staff are usually talking or pottering around. The speed of the serving is also painfully slow with the staff seeming to take as long as possible to serve each customer. The Q is often out the door. The food is mostly overcooked or cold. The pastys are frequently burnt or have been there that long they are cold. They are very heavy on the stomach as well. I would avoid and spend your money on somehting more appisitisng.

This is one of my favourite little places to eat if I’m on my lunch break in town. Although it can be very busy at lunch times, you can usually find a table. They have a good selection of lunch time foods: Soups, rolls with various fillings, and jacket potatoes to name a few. I particularly like their coleslaw filling. They also have a takeaway counter, which is located right inside the door. This does sometimes makes it difficult to get through to the eat in counter. They also have coolers full of sandwiches in front of the counter, which are difficult to look in when it’s busy. The staff are very friendly, and make up your food quickly. I would recommend this place to people looking for a quick, tasty lunch.
