Catwalk

Catwalk is a pet shop in Barkingside that used to have a different name but I can’t remember as I have the memory of a goldfish. Which goldfish, I don’t know, but you may find it in this shop.
Last year I went with my friend to the shop to buy a goldfish, and they wouldn’t let me have one. They thought I was ill-​equipped to own one. I told them that this was not true, I did indeed intend to own a fish bowl, but they would not relent. The lady was explaining how you need to be really careful when you first release them into the bowl, and how you need to wash the bowls in a certain way and remove the fish in a certain way. I don’t remember goldfish being like this when I was little, we’d just throw them in a bowl and feed them flakes whenever we felt like it and things worked out pretty fine. At least until the great tragedy of ’89 when we lost three goldfish in two weeks. And I mean they died, not that they went on a cruise.
Despite them judging me as not being good enough to own a little gold creature, I do like the shop. They have occasionally got cats and rabbits and I remember years ago they had some kind of lizard thing upstairs; but this is from way before they were called Catwalk.
Anyways, if you need dog food or pet advice or you need an animal to be cleaned; they do all that here. Just don’t mention my name and goldfish because they’ll probably refuse you a sale.
