This delightful café opened in about May 2009. It’s away from the hustle and bustle (!) of market street, and is stylishy decorated with comfy sofas, high backed chairs and wooden tables. There’s a great variety of teas served in fabulous chintzy teapots, along with the usual cappuccinos, lattes and hot chocolates. Food is fairly standard café fare– sandwiches, wraps, soup etc along with a very reasonably priced English breakfast. Best of all though are the homemade cakes– more than once I’ve been there when the cakes are still warm from the oven– scrumptious and always impossible to decide which one looks best!
