Yu Ye Fish Bar

One of the best fish and chip shops I have been to.
Chips cooked fresh when you order them so always mouth burningly hot with the great smell of salt and vinegar on them. The also do a OAP/​Childrens fish and chip meal which is great if you do not want a large portion of food and makes buying fish a little more affordable.
It is run by a friendly Chinese couple whom I think have owned it for years. They also sell Chinese food. Popular after work as it is near the train station so a great en route home stop especially if you have been out for a quick drink before hand but watch our for the queues however, very much worth the wait!

Best chip shop for miles around. This shop has been here for years, it is run by a friendly Chinese couple. Now I have only given it four stars as I cannot comment on the Chinese food they sell as I have never had it but the chips the chips are fabulous.
They cook them depress when people order so I have witnessed very long cues on a Friday evening. The plus side is that the hips are ally work the wait .
They do the normal chip shop food pies (Pukka) fish, savaloys, sausage in batter and so on. They do a child’s/OAP special portion fish and chips which is smaller and cheaper than the standard ones.
Their prices are reasonable considering where the shop is based.
They do not open on Sundays or Bank Holidays so be warned. Also be warned if you are travel via Norwood Junction station and fancy some chips they close at 11pm and I cannot comment on what standard of chip you get at that time of night! Would have been 5 stars but I have yet to sample the Chinese part of their menu.
