Just cancelled our order and walked out. Despite the plethora of open, window booths in the front, we were led to a dark table in the very back. After asking if it would be possible to move, they switched us to a table even further in the back and said we couldn’t move up front. The menu was a strange mix of French, English, and Chinese, and all the dishes were way overpriced. For appetizers we had the fish and crab cakes, teriyaki skewers, and smoked duck. The presentation of each was poor, the cakes were frozen, and overall the dishes were hugely unappetizing. However, the worst part of it all were the fruit flies that flew all around us and crawled on our table/dishes. We tried to let our waitress know and she blatantly ignored us, and when we asked to speak to the manager he told us he would«turn on the AC and they would eventually leave.» When we asked for our bill so we could leave early, he gave it to us and was very rude. Whereas a restaurant would normally comp a drink or two after so many problems, we paid the whole tab after eventually getting the attention of our waitress. I usually hate complaining at restaurants unless the situation is dire. This place, for so many reasons, was.

Hey! Going to the theater and need to kill a little time with a drink and a bite to eat? Don’t come here. Want a vodka martini with Smirnoff? You better, that’s the only way it comes. How about a bite? Hope you like fried food straight from the freezer because that’s your only option no matter if it’s fish, chicken, calamari, etc.

The service was terrible. We were offered warm white wine with a limp“sorry, we don’t have anything colder” Food was average and mostly from the freezer and not freshly cooked. For the prices it is a poor value proposition with so many better choices nearby.

Food was mediocre, at best. Prices did not reflect quality. Service was awful. They put on a front that they have good service, but the waiters are rude and charge a 12.5% service charge. Definitely not worth it. I’d rather walk 4 more blocks and eat at a cheap pub. They’d have better food and service. The only plus side was the cheap wine was pretty decent.

This place should not be calling itself cocktail bar(as stated on the website and above the entrance door) when they clearly barely have an idea of what they are doing starting from poor glassware to automatic spirit dispensers which I would find more suited in a Weatherspoon’s pub rather than a self proclaimed cocktails bar. Overall the place looks like it might have been chick 30 years ago but these days it just looks very dated. The menu layout looks poorly designed and very unimaginitive in terms of selection. Anyway, we ordered cosmopolitans which came in Margarita glasses(not that I would normally mind), filled to the brim up to the point that i did not dare picking it up without having given it a sip and with zero garnish. Although what really got me was that they prepare the cocktails far away from you without any chance of watching them preparing it. Oh, also highly curious was the fact that the bar was plastered with about 10 yellowing signs saying no cash payments at the bar. Yet when we asked to pay, they immediately offered to pay in cash?!

Between the Holborn and Covent Garden Station this is a good option if you want a semi-fancy bite to eat and drink with friends. Highlights: — I had the Kobe Beef Burger — ITWASDELICIOUS — Had a nice ambiance — The menu had a good selection of foods. Burgers, Pastas, Fishes, Chickens. — There is a full bar so you can get your cocktail on too. — At 8pm on a Friday there was no wait for a table for 4 Lowlights: — They put hot chocolate as «Pot Au Chocolat» in their dessert listings. I am sorry this is not dessert. This is MAYBE a liquid dessert. But should not be placed with the cakes and ice creams. I was very looking forward to whatever might be a pot au chocolat. I thought maybe a cup of chocolate mousse. But NO! Hot chocolate. In all fairness it said pot… maybe I should brush up on my French. Overall: Good place, good food, nice wait staff. But nothing special and nothing to hop across town for.

This is a very poor imitation of an American steak/chop house. ‘World famous since 1975′ — I think not! The only thing that hasn’t changed since 1975 is the menu and décor. I would not recommend anyone go there at all. The service was ok. The food was very weak. There was no type of atmosphere either good or bad. We were hoping to eat in ‘Great Queen Street Restaurant’ but found it closed so popped in Wolfe’s Bar & Grill.

Went in on Friday specifically to try the kobe burger and discovered a gem off a New York brasserie, 80’s style. Mirrored ceilings, table lamps and plenty of Roxette on the soundtrack. The burger itself was excellent, although it came in a malted bun which was too strong a flavour to go with the meat. At £14.95 it’s cheaper than the burger at Gaucho and was much better. On the downside I would agree with the review below that the cocktails didn’t have as much booze in them as I hoped, and they played Whitney Houston’s I will love you twice while we were there which seemed a little excessive.

I’m sorry, I have to disagree with the other reviewer and say Wolfe’s was awful! We were forced to go there for a friend’s birthday. For the price of the food, there are a million better restaurants with in striking distance. This is purely a tourist trap for people who will never be in the city again — surely no one would choose to eat there twice? My boyfriend had the moussaka which was microwaved and inedible. I had some kind of lamb thing, which was very dodgy tasting. The cocktails had noalcohol in them. I don’t usually write bad reviews, but this was the worst restaurant I’ve eaten in for years.

There is a certain charm and intimacy to Wolfe’s Bar and Grill, which has been tempting tourists and diners alike to its location just off Drury Lane for over 30 years. The wood-panelled dining room is the setting for a menu of burgers and steaks, including tender Kobe burgers and rib eyes. Chic without being intimidating or snooty, this popular restaurant also offers lighter snacks throughout the day and a la carte and set menus popular with pre-theatre diners. The well-appointed bar has a comprehensive drinks list. Fixed Lunch £13.50(2 courses) Fixed Dinner £14.50(2 courses)
