Impressed by the new chef, a lot better than before. This restaurant has been here for ages, it wasn’t even on my ‘interest list’ to revisit until they changed to new management. The food are quite authentic Chinese northern food. Really enjoy it! They also deliver to Canary Wharf lunch box, emmm so handy! Love it! Really hope the new restaurant can be better place :)

The buffet has recently come under new ownership and not for the better! Previously it had been a good cheap eat and the selection of food available had always been tasty. Now, the policy is that you pay before you eat(presumably to ward off complaints after you eat). The food seems to have gone down in quality and this venue is no longer value for money. The food seems to get replaced irregularly and the selection is a bit erratic(sticking in some random Indian dishes when they haven’t got enough variety). The owner was pleasant and talkative but he needed to be as the food wasn’t great. Usually at a buffet you eat a lot but the new system in place seems to be to reduce the quality and taste so you dont eat much at all

Quite possibly the worst Chinese buffet in London. They’ve somehow managed to make everything on the buffet taste like cardboard. On the outside this place looks like it represents decent value for money with some enticing prices advertised, however when you go in you find out those prices are only available sometimes. You could almost forgive this place for being a tourist trap except that it’s quite out of the way and not the sort of place you’d get a lot of passing footfall. I genuinely don’t get how they survive! Perhaps my experience was unique, but I wasn’t the only one who felt this way. I went with a group of colleagues and we all agreed the place wasn’t very good at all. It really did seem like it didn’t matter what dish you chose from the buffet; they all tasted the same. I hope it was a one-off and that the place isn’t normally like this, but if you do go there after reading this, you have been warned…

I’ve passed this place many times over many years without going in. In future I will do just that but with less curiosity. It’s a Chinese buffet, but most of it, you just dont want to eat. The starters are OK, but the main courses are less distinguished. They may not use any MSG but they use enough salt to dry oceans, I came out of this place feeling completely dessicated. It’s cheap but its not cheerful there is nowhere local to park, public transport is awkward, you have to squeeze past diners smoking in the doorway and the clientelle seem more soup kitchen than restaurant.

I’ve been a few times over recent years and it’s remained the same — great chinese food, cooked without MSG as a flavour enhancer, and you can eat all you want. The variety of dishes on offer varies every day, but you’ll always find crispy duck and pancakes, singapore rice noodles, chicken wings, soups, spring rolls, vegetarian dishes, curries and meat in sauces. There’s a dessert bar too, where you can pick up chinese style jellies(made around a base of cornflour and agar jelly — so are totally vegetarian!), ice cream, apple and banana fritter and fresh fruit. Prices start from around £6 per person for lunch during the week, and increase for dinner and at the weekend — however having said that it’s only about £11 per person at the weekend for dinner! Definitely worth checking out, to save you some money and get a fill of yummy Chinese food.

Wings is not bad for a chinese buffet most of the food was quite tasty though I did also remember there were several dishes that were by no means great which put me off going here regularly. I think like most buffets the quality and freshness of the food on offer really depends on the time that u visit and how busy it is. The food seems nicer and fresher in the evenings, on the one occasion I visited earlier in the afternoon it was very obvious that about half of the dishes available tasted as though they were simply either cooked much earlier and reheated or just been reheated from the night before. The price depending on what time you arrive can also be somewhat confusing and they quite cleverly advertise the word ‘from’ in the window with the lowest price next to it. All in all if u are really hungry and have little expectations its not a bad option is also not far from the more expensive choices in Canary Wharf.

I’ve been a few times to Wings. The first time it was lovely, the food was good quality, fresh and generally tasted nice. However, more recently this doesn’t seem to be the case. On my last visit most of the food seemed as if it had been sitting there for an hour, it was dry and looked unusual. A good thing is that they don’t use MSG in their food which is nice to know because most chinese establishments do use MSG as a flavour enhancer. Also, some dishes are not available at lunch time but are only available for dinner(after the price per person increases). If you do go, make sure you get their early so that the food is fresher and it is less busy!

I have been to this buffet twice each time feeling completely stuffed! Not a great feeling but it is the joy of having buffet! This is quite a normal buffet place cheap and cheerful but with a twist! The food does not contain MSG(Mono Sodium Glutamate) which I am allergic to. Most food from Asian restaurants contain MSG and it quite a good to have dinner without them if possible. A normal buffet dinner is £8.95 drinks and you can eat all you want! A real deal!
