Cute restaurant with good customer service and a great brunch menu with fantastic vegetarian options. Eggs were poached perfectly and the smoked mozzarella and wilted spinach were very tasty in a simple, uncomplicated way. Altogether a very satisfactory brunch experience — I would have awarded 4 stars however on account of the toast(advertised as sourdough but suspiciously resembling generic sliced white bread toast), and also the fact that they could not rustle up a mimosa, despite having prosecco and orange juice??? Errrrrmmm…

I was looking for somewhere nearby for a coffee and a hot breakfast and at 9am on a Saturday this was one of the few places open nearby. First impressions are good, quite small inside but the tables aren’t too squashed together. It took a little while to get served but this was due a change in staff. I went for the cloest thing to a full English breakfast which arrived very quickly. The food was well presented, nice and hot and very tasty. The bacon comes in thick slices which is a nice touch. The price is very reasonable compared to elsewhere. The coffee was very drinkable as well. If you find yourself near brixton market this place is well worth a visit.

Friendly staff, it’s hard to find a restaurant that does everything well. From delicious and inventive(albeit selective) café options to Mediterranean tapas. Absolutely brilliant, loved the simplicity and atmosphere.

Anyplace at the market in Brixton is cool just by being in that location. Then comes the restaurants’ turn to use that and improve on it. This place did just that. We had two café Americano which were both great although I would have liked a small cookie on the side to sweeten the flavor. Or maybe even to market some their other products… Clean place great service and a very interesting market so if you’re ever in the area and want a cup of coffee. thats the place.

I used to go to Wild Caper all the time, they make really good breads and dips. Today however I was so disappointed in the crazy price I paid for some cake that I don’t really want them to have my custom anymore. I now feel like they are taking the piss, they are not in Mayfair, they’re in Brixton, the price I paid today was beyond ridiculous: 3 small slices of chocolate cake and 4 small squares of lemon cake.£21.40!!! Yes you read that right. Apparently now the eat-in prices are the same as take-out. I will not be going back. Before this, I would have given them 4 stars.

Are these the nicest folk serving fresh, lovely food in the Market? They might be. They just might be. My first exprience was towards the end of the day when they put out the rest of their flatbread — I needed some, grabbed it, and drooled. Then I came back and they had some lovely specials on, though it was late & they were all slightly off — so they gave me a blend of the best bits and a discount to boot. All throughout they were super nice and lovely and pleasant. Which is what I come to expect from my hood. Yay.

I know the lady who runs this place, just to say hello to so last night I saw her eating at a new mexican gaf next door to wild caper which was shut. I stopped to say hello and ask where I could find ice cream in the market as my pregnant partner was in the mood. Sadly we both concluded the 2 ice cream places were unusually closed. What happened next is why it get’s 5*, she said hang on I’ve got ice-cream, opened up wild caper even asked if we wanted cherries and rum on our little tubs of ice cream(delicious btw), we said no this was getting embarrassing, i like being spolit but she was interrupting her dinner with pals Here’s the best bit, offered her money which was refused. I love Brigette & Wild Caper. Bread is immense too.

I accidently saw this place while walking through Brixton market what a pleasant surprise! Their breads are absolutely amazing and they last too! A bit expensive, but they also sell yesterday’s bread half price!

I’m a self confessed bread enthusiast and this place is a complete life-saver for us along the SW/SE borders. All the bread is sough dough and my favourite is the italian wood-oven baked loaf. It might look a bit blackened on the outside, but the crust is spectacular and the inside soft and very much the right kind of chewy. I’m hooked.

Wild Caper is small bakery inside the up-and-coming Brixton Market. Delicious bread, organic baked goods, fantastic coffee and friendly staffs, all tugged inside a small store. Highly recommended if you want to venture away from the tourist spots and opt for a more ‘down-home’ atmosphere. Check their opening hours before go. The neighbourhood is safer during the day.

This is a new deli in Brixton Market. Competition to the wonderful Rosie’s Deli just around the corner. I visited last Saturday and was very impressed. It is still definitely a start-up but has heaps of potential. The selection of freshly baked breads was excellent, I like the idea that they are baked in the pizza ovens of Franco Manca just up a few doors. Selection of pantry goods is limited, but well edited. I bought some delicious green olives, the enormous fat meaty kind, which were delicious. While I didn’t have any, the mushroom soup looked and smelled tasty. Watch this place. And if you live in Brixton, make sure you go and spend some money there and at Rosie’s. We need to keep them going.
