Wasabi

Es wird nicht vor Ort gegessen, es wird mitgenommen und im Büro verzehrt — musste ich mich auch erstmal dran gewöhnen, ist durchaus gängig in dieser hektischen Stadt…
Zuerst dachte ich, hier gibt’s nur Sushi, wäre jetzt nicht so meine erste Wahl gewesen, es gab’ aber noch andere leckere Sachen, mich lachte sofort das Chilli Chicken an…
Wartezeit eigentlich nicht vorhanden, gleich heiß mitnehmen und los geht’s.
Verpackung ist recht gut und so kam mein Mittagsmahl auch noch heiß im Büro an. Geschmacklich wirklich gut, das kann man machen!

This location of Wasabi was my first venture into sushi-​as-​fast-​food. It’s a good location, if small, and the staff are courteous and helpful. It’s not got as much seating as other Wasabi locations, but most people passing through the outlet are City workers with no desire to eat in. Anyhow, why bother eating in when you can wander a few minutes’ away and be in a centuries-​old churchyard or a little winding alleyway with a bench, or one of the million other tiny treasures that can be found in the City of London.

This place is bizarre. I like their food, but the more often I come, the more I see. It happened to me to have overcooked rice. The other day the spicy chicken had some skin on it yuck:(But over all it is a nice and filling dish.
Their fried rice with chicken is disgusting, sushi –although interesting selection does not seem to be as popular as the hot food. I might be wrong tho.
I can see there is a miso soup on their menu and a green tea (free if you spend over £5).
They open only for lunch and once they’re finish they send all the leftovers to liverpool st station;/ (!)
Average, not a patch on itsu.

Wasabi have always continue to offer good food however their portion sizes are unnecessarily too large, i end up throwing food away which makes me fill bad. The one dish that Wasabi have yet to perfect is the chicken katsu curry.

I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of food at these «fast food sushi» restaurants! I have to admit, I’ve been in London for three weeks now, and I only finally gave this a try. And I’m really glad I did!
I picked up some a la carte items like salmon, tuna, nigiri and a charashi. For London prices, these are great deals. All the fish tastes great and I am a fan of their charashi (who can go wrong with £1.95?). It’s not a fancy place, but it gets the job done. And for sushi, they get an extra star from me.
I’m really looking forward to my last week at London — I’m going to be going here to pick up my lunch. It’s a way better alternative than having to go to Tesco for sandwiches… nothing against sandwiches, but it seems like that’s what everyone eats when they want something quick and on the go.
