Overrated. Came here because I had a discount coupon. Overpriced and not worth it.

Le piège de la chaîné Wafflemeister? L’oder alléchante quand on passé à côté.

The waffles were delicious! I shared a waffle with Nutella ice cream with a friend. The waffle is not very large and I probably could have finished it all by myself but sharing with a friend was still filling. The waffles are freshly made, a little bit tougher and chewier than I would have preferred but paired with the ice cream it was amazing.

SUGAROVERLOAD. YUM. I’m not normally a huge dessert fan, but I had to get a «belgian –style» waffle while in Europe. Seeing as how I was by myself, I forced myself to eat this entire thing before all my ice cream melted. When I mean forced, I meant devoured happily. However, I didn’t feel so great afterwards. But here’s what I ordered the dream — machine(?). Basically a plain waffle with vanilla gelato and white/milk chocolate drizzle. Thank goodness, I was able to subsititute the flavors of gelato. Instead I ordered their seasonal gelato — raspberry cheesecake. CALORIESONCALORIES. I gave zero SH%Ts about my diet at this point and added the white chocolate drizzle too. OMG, soooo good. But soooo sweet. It was a pipping hot waffle with delicious ice cream, what’s not to love? Ate it and then took a quick nap in Hyde park. Someone told me not to sleep there, like I said, I give zero SH%TS. Woke up and walked off the calories like a b0 $$.

Very friendly place away from the huddle and bustle of Oxford street I found the price to be very reasonable and I think you’ll enjoy it but it’s worth putting something on the waffle don’t go for a plain one

They were restocking when I arrived so I had to wait about 5 – 7 minutes but once we went in the staff were really friendly. I had the«dream team» with Nutella ice cream, and when I tilted my waffle and the scoop of ice cream rolled off, the lovely sales girl gave me a new scoop which was so sweet! The waffle itself was delicious and I would honestly just go for another one and have it plain, it was great! It’s open late too which is fun for on the way back from a play or event.

Wow so delicious! I journeyed up the blocks for this place, and it was well worth it! I got the ‘Dream Team’ which is the basic waffle with choice of gelato and fudge — it’s good for it you want to try everything. I got the Nutella gelato along with dark chocolate hot fudge, which satisfied my sweet tooth for the night. The parlor is small, and they charge extra for dine in, so just get it and eat it while waiting at the bus stop nearby!

It is not the best waffle I had but very decent. Soft, sweet and fresh. Oddly I liked my coffee more than my waffle, we got the 3.50 waffle coffee combo.

Waffles and ice cream? I mean, come on. How can you go wrong? There isn’t much seating in the store itself, but if you go outside there is a little plaza behind it, where you can people watch or enjoy the weather(or not enjoy the weather). I was lucky enough to get a fresh made waffle and with the nutella ice cream, it was just heaven in food form. I had it drizzled with some milk chocolate too, so I had my sugar for the day right there. Get creative though! It’s a treat!

Waffle AND ice cream!!! YAHOO!!! Yes, PLEASE!!! My waffle cravings were in high gear since we started our exploration of some European islands. It’s located in walking distance to the British Natural History Museum. After a jaunt inside this jam packed museum to appease our young squires fascination with Dinosaurs, we were in search of refreshments and spotted this small eatery on our way to the South Kensington Tube. There are a few outside tables and chairs to enjoy your treats, if your sweet tooth can’t wait. The staff inside were helpful, but not so welcoming. That seems to be the norm during our in & outs through London’s culinary choices. We sampled a few items… *DREAMTEAM: Comes as a good sized Liege waffle with 1 scoop of your choice of gelato, 8 options shipped in from France, and a selection of fudge drizzle with either milk, dark, or white. Waffles are precooked and slightly caramelized. I had Nutella gelato and milk chocolate drizzle. Couldn’t separate waffle with just the plastic fork provided… knife, PLEASE!!! Still had to REALLY work at it, to cut waffle into pieces. Blimey!!! Thankfully, the inside was slightly soft. Tasty gelato of ample size. Great presentation, A-OK on overall taste. *GOBANANAS: Again, slightly caramelized Liege waffle, this time with fresh whipped cream, fresh bananas, mixed nuts, and choice of fudge drizzle. Same firm waffle, so shared a knife to eat this too. Whipped cream is tasty, and not overly sweet. Ample serving of fresh bananas and nuts. Again, pleasing to the eye, average to taste buds. No fresh waffles here but a decent precooked waffle place to indulge your sweet tooth. Not a long wait to have your order made, so quick escapes are easy. If you decide to stay, they do charge extra for copping a squat. I didn’t see the light fine print on option to heat up my waffle and wasn’t offered it during ordering. Maybe that would have changed my experience? However, if they nuke it to warm it, then forget I said a thing, cuz they charge extra for that too! Sheesh! Don’t forget to secure a fork AND knife for proper English eating, as the waffle exterior is quite firm. Or, you can just go all Yankee and use your hands to shove it down!

Overpriced gelato! But tasty overpriced gelato! Friendly staff and a nice location in the arcade-y type area around South Kensington station. I like it!

I got a waffle here with a cup of tea, took it to in front of the Natural History Museum, and devoured it whilst people-watching. It was the best waffle I’ve ever had. And now, no waffle from my stupid puny waffle-maker can satisfy me. Struggles, struggles.

I can never get enough waffles. I love them so much that we originally planned a stop in Brussels to try the«real» thing. But with the short time we have abroad we ended up cutting it from our itinerary. Somehow the waffle places back home don’t taste like they do here on the other side of the Atlantic so we indulge in these every chance we get. Well, we spotted this Wafflemeister yesterday so today we carefully planned our bus route«home» to pass through South Kensington to grab one of these delightful treats. Warm, slightly crispy exterior and soft insides these waffles were exactly what I was craving. That with the combination of whipped cream and sliced strawberries it was heavenly and we savored every single bite. This certainly won’t be our last visit to Wafflemeister while here in London.

Food — yum! The waffles are crispy on the outside and deliciously chewy in the inside. The toppings are gooey and delicious. What a yummy treat and affordable! Service — fast

On my way home from a dinner south of the river, I had to change buses at South Kensington. While looking when my next bus would be coming, I noticed this little shop on the other side of the road, Wafflemeister. They do a range of sweet things and coffee, but I guess their flagship product is the waffle. After I had no dessert that night, I decided to get a waffle. Looking at the menu, I quickly choose the waffle with cream, chocolate sauce and strawberries. It came with lots of cream and the strawberries were a bit light and also did not taste brilliant. It was a delicious waffle but I must say, at almost £5 it is a bit expensive for what it is. Despite the price, if you like a decent waffle, Wafflemeister is not the worst place to sit down and treat yourself to something sweet.

I think anytime of day is a good time for waffles. Inside is tiny. There are couple of tables outside that work well for people watching in South Kensington. Basically there are three types of items: waffles, coffee/drinks and ice cream. They also have what they apparently call in England«American thick shakes». I did not get around to trying one but I was curious whenever I saw this(as it was advertised in other places as well). Why is the American version thicker(and implied, better)? The waffles are made fresh when you order. Just sweet enough, with a bit of a crisp exterior covering the fluffy waffle. You pick what toppings you want that range from basic powered sugar to whipped confections. I’m a fan of the strawberry version. But anyway you have it I don’t think you will be disappointed.

For some reason I was craving gelato and this place was nearby(even though I usually avoid chains). They had about 10 varieties and tasted decent… but nothing spectacular. The real stars of the place are the sugar drenched waffles, so maybe hitting it for gelato was not the best plan.

I LOVED these waffles. They were absolutely delicious. I had the oreo with whipped cream, drizzled with chocolate. I felt like such a pig as I ate the entire thing(with 2 inches of whipped cream across the top). I guess I can’t compare them to waffles in Brussels but if you are craving a sweet treat for cheap, look no further!

Wafflemeister is the answer to those Londoners with an affliction/weakness for Belgian waffles! Some years ago I spent six months in Brussels. I left with a deepened appreciation for Belgian beer, moules frites and in particular, Belgian waffles. But despite searching high and low I could never find the blighters in London — the only consistent source was an elusive and well-hidden small stall near London’s Trocadero. So when my nostrils picked up scent of freshly-made waffles whilst loitering in South Kensington, I thought it was a cruel trick of the Gods. Thankfully not, for rounding the corner away from South Ken tube station, there stood Wafflemeister. I couldn’t quite believe what I was seeing. Mounds of freshly made Belgian waffles. In three different sizes, from small, to classic, to, for those with an advanced dependency such as me, a ‘giant’ size, of two classics sandwiched together. The option to smother them in melted chocolate(white, milk, dark), gelato or chopped fruit and nuts. All at very reasonable prices — £2 for a ‘classic’ is pretty much what you’d pay on the streets of Brussels. And it’s practically on my commute route. Obviously I dived right in, and was relieved to discover that they were up to scratch: warm, soft, chewy, crispy lattices of cooked batter. Mmmm mmmm mmmm! After years of living a waffle-deprived existence in London this felt like some kind of divine intervention. So I hope you can forgive the choice of ropey film when I channel Rhys Ifans’ character in Notting Hill, gaze skywards and utter a few words of gratitude for Wafflemeister’s existence: «Thank you God!»

Just around the corner from South Kensington station, Wafflemeister is sweet treat. The waffles are made fresh and topped generously. Whether you just want yours plain or with something on it, this is a nice little stop after a long train ride underground. I took mine with white chocolate and a latte, sitting at one of their outside tables to watch the traffic go by and catch my breath. The waffle was crispy and crunchy, the chocolate was sweet and drippy. The coffee was excellent. Toppings are all sweet, no savory. Berries and nuts, chocolate and candies. The place looked clean and the person who served me was friendly, bringing my order out to the table.
