Nice white tablecloth restaurant. The appetisers are quite large, so think twice about ordering two for two people like we did. But the baked aubergine with ham and cheese was excellent! It could be a main course. The mains were so so. I had the tagetelle(?) but it wasn’t very spicy and the meat(beef, bacon, & Italian sausage) was just ok(2.5÷5). My friend had a veal T-bone steak, but he thought it was a 4/5, tasty and he would order it again, but it wasn’t ‘memorable’. Overall, the meal was satisfying and we would come back. But it was too much food! They should offer a lunch menu as well. At least they accept the taste card. :-)

Vito’s is an Italian restaurant, so if you’re a fan of fine-quality Italian cuisine and a carefully chosen wine list then do visit this place if you get the chance. The restaurant offers an authertic italian menu of antipasti, risotto, pasta, salads, fish & meat dishes and desserts. The average price per head is £30.00 so very reasonable. There is also a newly built bar with a bar menu available and a mix of music from the 70s to the latest bar grooves which is attached to the restaurant.

We love it! It is our ‘local’ and the food is always delicious either for lunch or dinner. The owner, Vito, has made a great success of this pretty restaurant — lots of Italian kissing goes on on arrival(even more on departure after a wonderful meal and good wine). The menu is large and varied, emphasis is on Italian cooking and there are always ‘Specials’ available. There are linen tablecloths and napkins, it is all very ‘civilised’ and the service is quick and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble and it is a great place to take children although my grandson always manages to escape from the high chair. At one stage a waiter tucked him under his arm and continued with his duties! Sunday lunch, a buffet, is excellent value with a delicious choice of starters and very nice roasts — turkey, beef, lamb AND pork. Have a slice of each although mint sauce is a bit odd with beef! In Summer you can eat outside on the pavement and the restaurant has huge french doors which open up; there is a light conservatory and Vito also has a bar next door with a huge TV. Although at the ‘wrong’ end of Northcote Road, it is well worth the walk to enjoy a good meal in a relaxing atmosphere.
