Virgin Active

I have been a member of Fitness First for more than four years but in all that time I have wanted to try a Virgin Active gym. I don’t know if it is the branding (or the price) but they always seemed to be a cut above.
I had no idea that Virgin Active was in Streatham until I saw them plugging their wares in Tesco and got invited to a free trial. The gym is on a side street next to Streatham High Road hence why I had never seen it before.
The gym was as I expected i.e. a top quality spec, with changing rooms on the ground floor next to a pool and weights and cardio on an upper floor with views over sunny Streatham. There is even a cordoned off area for women only.
Membership costs £71 per month although through deals with my employer I could have 50% off. However the limitation is that I couldn’t use the Virgin Active branches in the city after work which is the reason I didn’t sign up.
Even though I didn’t sign up I would have no hesitation in recommending this gym.
