Vintage Retreat

The perfect place to relax and rejuvenate! I have had two wonderful massages with Ronnie and am already looking forward to my next visit. The shop is super clean, warm and inviting. I highly recommend booking in for a treatment!

My husband and I visited Vintage Retreat on a vacation to London when were we exhausted and looking for an indulgent treat to relax. We could not have been happier with the treatments we received from Ronnie (massage) and Bhavna (facial). They are kind, warm people who are excellent at what they do.

Divine. The facility is welcoming, clean and calming but the best thing about it was Ronnie’s massage. I chose the happy hour massage (£65 for 60 minutes). I am only 30 but I have a rod in my back from scoliosis spinal fusion and have hypermobility, muscle atrophy and pain from hip impingement. Needless to say, I’ve been around the block when it comes to massage specialists. Ronnie was simply one of the best massages I’ve had. He did a bespoke massage based on my needs (gorgeous head and shoulder massage, relaxing yet strong foot massage and, with pin-​point accuracy, an intense deep-​tissue lower back massage. He seemed to know the exact spot that was giving me trouble and proceeded to put me into a kind of euphoric stupor for the entire session. Walking home, I felt my body was about eight years younger — my pain was gone and my lower back and hips moved with a fluidity and grace that I can hardly remember ever having. Their philosophy is not to accept tips so I was more than happy to write a glowing review instead. You must try this place.

Love this place! I’ve had massages here with Ronnie and Judy. I run a lot and Ronnie gave perhaps the best sports massage of my life– it’s intense, but he really works at it and gets out any tension. Just had my first massage with Judy, which was very different– extreme relaxation and amazing! She’s a very calming presence, helped with breathing to calm down, got the right amount of pressure, and focused on my areas of tension in the shoulders and neck for a good 20 minutes, including a head massage that nearly put me to sleep. I left feeling like I was in a cloud.
Also, they have a really unique philosophy and business attitude, which is laid back, friendly, and just want to do good work. They don’t accept tips, which I think is crazy since I wanted to give Judy a really good tip today, so instead I’m writing as good a review as possible. It’s easily accessible from the tube, and you can treat yourself afterwards to a nice cappuccino at Daniela’s or a glass of wine at the Truscott Arms, both of which are next door.
