snooze… snooze… snooze… thats what i obtain from this garden. not that its a bad place to sit and relax but it’s uninteresting and a little boring… and for the haters out there that say«what about the views of westminster, big ben, thames, london eye» and so on well i’m not reviewing those sites… :P but i guess it’s better to have a gardens and parks rather more buildings… if you’re a first timer to london then i probably wouldn’t rush here to see it as you wont be missing much… and because london is a densely populated city, makes me understand why people who live in london appreciate having parks and gardens in the city… would i come back? not for the park itself but because ill pass by it on the way to more interesting and exciting things. :)

I am surprised nobody had created this garden on Unilocal,or even wrote a review! This is an excellent spot just on the other side of the Palace of Westminster, away from the majority of the tourists who come to see the London Eye and Big Ben/Elizabeth Tower. It’s lush and encompassed by trees along the roadside, with the Thames River on the other side, creating a nice and peaceful space. Technically, this is the«North» side, as there is also a «South» side, but this part of the park is of the most interest because of the statue of Emily Pankhurst and the Fountain commemorating the end of slavery.

A small patch of green in the centre of Westminster, Victoria Tower Gardens, is a thin strip of park between the southern Victoria Tower of the Palace of Westminster, the Millbank and the Thames. In the summer it’s a popular spot for sun bathing and is surprisingly quiet given its central location. Ice creams and cold drinks are available from various vendors. There is a statue of Emmeline Pankhurst, the Suffragette and a gothic-style fountain, the Buxton Memorial, commemorating the 1834 outlawing of slavery in the British Empire. My favourite thing to do is to grab a bench facing the Thames and watch the traffic go past on the river.
