I arrived at 8:45PM to a 2⁄3rd full restaurant with 2 tables leaving. The server told me that they were finished for the evening! I went down the street, and had a lovely dinner. I had to pass this restaurant on my way to hotel. Guess what? Three new tables getting served. They weren’t closed. Why was I turned away? There are signs all over the place that there aren’t any take away or containers for uneaten food. I’ll take my money were its welcomed.

The absolute worst! We came in to have something light because we weren’t very hungry. After being set, the waitress walked away and helped a few other customers. When she came back she asked if we would like any ‘starters’ we declined and she abruptly said«hold on» walked away and went to serve other patrons food. Didn’t ask us if we wanted anything to drink or anything! After she was done she came back and asked what we would like. We asked if we could share a pizza Margherita… She said«no, no share» We left. So rude. Furthermore there are signs ALL over the hole in the wall called a restaurant«No take away this includes left overs» Go elsewhere.

This is a tourist trap but the vegetable lasagna was pretty good. We asked for bread and were charged for it and it was supposed to be part of the meal. Also the 17.5% gratuity is laughable. We had to remind and ask for all the service we received. After a long day of walking, we chose this place. Go toward Kensington and pick another place! Lots of nice pubs on that street!

This was one of the worst restaurants that I have ever been to. The meal was unbelievable overpriced — GBP40 for cheese bread + boiled veal + a bad glass of wine. Food was very bland. The Bruschetta was more like cheap pizzas from the microwave that kids make(canned tomato sauce, cheap melted cheese). The Veal was boiled and tough. I would never go back — this is a complete tourist trap!

We showed up around 8:45, and waited a few minutes. The place was about 2/3rds full. We where then approached by the hostess/waitress who said in a thick accent of unknown origin: We are not serving people now. I thought: Are we too white/fat/American??? Perhaps they were simply closing at 9. If I had felt better I would have put up a fight, but we had walked all day long and there was another pizza place close enough. Now I see the 1 star reviews. So glad we were turned away.

This experience was not even close to being acceptable. What happened: They offered bread as a starter and I accepted because I felt so hungry. The basket was filled with 3 pieces of bread. Cheapest ones from Tesco I assume. Plastic feeling and tasted dry and old. When I asked for«fresh» orange juice I got Sainsbury’s orange juice from concentrate. I could even see how they filled it into the glass! But my personal highlight after three years being in London was the pizza salami I ordered. Microwave heated 1 cm thick Cheese analogue on top of a fatty half baked bread. The salami smelled awkward and tasted old. This had nothing to do with Italian food. Best part of the evening was the price: 17.6% service charge! «Because it needs to be a round figure». 10.95GBP for a 5inch pizza was already ridiculous. What a tourist trap… avoid this place at all cost

Id give it more 3 ½ stars than four. The food and service were both okay, but just like everything else about this restaurant, it was not anything memorable. The convenience of being across the street from our hotel was a big plus on that cold night. Food portions were small, but the taste was okay. Questionable quality. Service was less than expected considering we were one of less than four occupied tables. Gnocchi, lasagne, minestrone soup were all good… just not great.

To start it off, I am a Uni student with very low expectations for my food. That being said, this was the worst meal I’ve ever had(trust me I’ve had some bad ones). The dining room was cramped and I felt like I had no privacy and could hear everyone’s conversations. There was only one worker, possibly in the whole restaurant, who was less than welcoming when I arrived. The worker graciously offered our table some bread and butter, which we came to find at the end when looking at our bill that we were charged £3.00 for(£1 per person at the table). We also each ordered a water only to find out we were charged £2.50 each for our 16oz bottle of water. The food itself was sub-par, for the amount I paid for my pizza I was alarmed when I saw how small the pizza actually was. I was only able to stomach half of the tiny margarita pizza(which I’m pretty sure was just cheese) due to the vial taste. To top it all off there was a 15% service charge applied automatically, which I can only assume it is there due to the fact that no one would want to tip after there dining experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to ANYONE!

Thought this place was left off Unilocal because I searched 1 and 2 £ signs and saw the menu, but no, it’s under £££. Service was okay, one server obviously an owner or something. Food tasted a little off. Lasagna was too sweet and I couldn’t figure out why? It’s like the meat wasn’t ground beef but bologna. Garlic bread was burned so the garlic was bitter. We asked for water and were given bottles, thought nothing of it until we got a £2.50 per bottle charge on the bill. WHAT? A normal, 16 fl oz bottle for £2.50? Especially when we just said«water»! On top of that, she added a £5 service charge and did nothing about the bill when we questioned her about the water. I wouldn’t go back for the food, and I definitely wouldn’t go back after seeing the bill. Bad food and bad handling of the bill combined with the«service charge» make this place a definite skip!
