This past weekend, I was at Tugra twice. Granted, I was in the area for different reasons, but after stumbling upon it the first day, I still went back the second. If I could, I would be there right now… I got one of the spinach and cheese gozleme(I think?) — basically a type of crêpe/pancake with filling. Hot off the plate, the cheese oozes and the dough is soft and chewy. Of course, I also had to get the baklava — I tried their super baklava. The layers were perfectly flaky and sweet. It does seem to be a family-run establishment, with a lovely older woman making the gozleme and various sons/daughters manning the cashier or bringing food out. The customers were clearly regulars and chatted in(I assume) Turkish. Made me feel like I was in an authentic Turkish bakery :) TL;DR: Go here and thank me later.

I give four stars because under the main sign ‘TUGRA’ it says simply. ‘Baklava’ now I’m totally obsessed with Baklava at the moment so this amazed me that this place actually specializes in Baklava! I’ve tried the Pistachio and Walnut Variety so far. So lovely and so many different types in this branch, they also do ice cream and lot’s of other tasty treats.
