Finally went there for dinner and nothing like the Orange, their sister restaurant. Nothing at all. Way more fancy yet chill looking and way better food is served here. They do share some of their dishes with the orange but what we took was not on the menu when visited the orange a week before. We had to start the terrine and the black pudding, delicious. Nice servings so beware of you do not wish to eat to much. Nice specially breads with it and a long list of wines to choose from. We went for a not too too fancy burgundy wine from France to pair along those dishes. For mains we went for the special pork belly served with some haggis, Mushy green peas. It was perfectly cooked. Crackly, greasy(it is pork belly), but not too much, haggis tasty and not overwhelming because it is served as tiny side portions. Very well paired I thought and it makes a great combo to try some local foods if visiting the UK. Overall nice place to have dinner and for the bar review see my other review. Good times as well.

Tucked away in Belgravia — perfect for an evening meal or lunch time snack. Nice bright interior — with relatively low buzzing atmosphere. Seating outside, perfect for a sunny afternoon. Price reflective of area.

I came to this restaurant specifically for fish and chips. After ordering, I was informed that they were out of fish and chips. Ordered the game pie which was subpar. Not happy.

This is a busy yet comfortable gastro-pub! The grilled baby artichokes are delicious and you can’t really go wrong with the fish and chips here! I usually go here with a good friend and its pretty reliable, good, but not exceptional grub!

Great posh pub! I’ve been here for lunch, however this place is always buzzing with people. Inside there is a warm atmosphere, wood takes and such as one would expect of a gastropub. Staff is very friendly, and the food good. The only down side was the slow service which made no sense as we arrived after the lunch rush hour. I would recommend this place is you are near Victoria and looking for a nice place to go.

What a great local place not far from the Victoria Station tourist crowd. Wine selection is as good and the atmosphere is vibrant in the Friday early evening. I had the pulled pork pastry that was very good and my son had a well executed burger. I come to Victoria often and it’s definitely worth a repeat visit!

As a family friendly bar this place is great! Atmosphere and Location:(Rating 5) Love the location and look and feel of this place. It’s a little loud, so be ready for that. It’s also a little tight with regards to table and chair placement, so be ready to meet your neighbors. ;) But the overall look, décor and large windows looking outside create a fun bar /upscale café friendly feel. Fish and Chips(Rating 2) With regards to the fish and chips I had high hopes as this place was recommended to me. I wasn’t overly impressed however. While the entrée looked great plated, the fish was not that great(overly oily from frying) and maybe not that good to start with. The breading wasn’t as crisp as I would have liked as well and even the flavor was a bit dull IMO. Sorry guys.

Great food and such a cozy atmosphere! The turnip soup and chicken salad were delicious. Solid pub food too. Love that it’s close to Sloane St.

After all these years, still the best Sunday roast I’ve had, from country homes to city restaurants — no one can match the Thomas Cubitt for its sheer classic Sunday Roast perfection. I look forward to trips to London just because I get to come here. One of my favorite restaurants, globally.

Our bed-and-breakfast in London was literally around the corner from this pub. We ate dinner three times, twice late and once Sunday roast. We found the food inventive attractive and delicious. Although the prices are a bit higher than a regular pub, this is far from regular pub food. We had the salmon, the butternut squash Wellington, the incredible burgers, and Sunday beef and pork roast. all wonderful. Appetizers and desserts are also creative and delicious!

Is this London’s best kept secret pub? This was a true find and only stumbled across this pub by accident(and what a happy accident). This pub has the usual range of alcoholic beverages(great), but the food brings«pub grub» to a whole new level… gourmet style! I had the steak and ale pie(after an extensive look at the menu and lots of indecisiveness as everything looked so good). My friend opted for fish and chips and that also looked amazing — you know where you get the lemon put in a muslin so there’s less mess — that’s what they do(very posh haha). They also have a huge dessert selection too. Really great service and the bar staff are very attentive. Lovely location.

A bustling noisy place for a casual dinner. The tables are pretty small and close together but still manageable. The duck leg with kale and sweet potato was still moist and delicious and I didn’t really need the chips or the broccolini but who can resist perfect fries. The beef pie looked delicious and was certainly judged as tasty by my dining partner. A reasonable bottle of Rioja to accompany the meal. It is not cheap but Definitely would come here again — maybe on Sunday for their roast

Beautiful pub, really really great service but the food is only fair. Scallops had a strange taste, the pork wrapped in bacon lacked flavour and the sides were very small. Triple cooked chips should be amazing and crispy but were pretty tasteless.

This is my go-to place if I am around Victoria Coach Station as there aren’t many nice places for food nearby. It’s tucked around a curve so when you look down the road from the station, you can’t see it. It’s not cheap but for the atmosphere and quality, completely reasonable. You are not far from Sloane St and Phillip Treacy is across the street afterall! Cocktails run about £8 or £9 while my gin and tonic was £5. Mains are about £14-£22. The quality of food is high, as was the service the several times. The vegetarian option seems pricey but was tasty according to my friend. Sides are also extra although you get a bit of veg with your mains. It’s rather cosy on a cold night with it’s windows on tje ground floor. Definitely worth checking out!

Definitely a go-to place if you’re in the Victoria area, which can be a little sparse aside from tourist traps. The atmosphere is perfect, a modern take on an old-world pub. It’s casual, but feels really nice. On good-weather days, you can sit outside or near outside, for the best of both worlds. I’ve been here a couple of times, once with Londoners and once with out of towners, and it’s been positive both times. The food is not the best I’ve ever had, but good nonetheless. It’s sort of in that«can’t complain» range, and oh you could do so much worse.

+ Great food + Nice ambience in a lovely neighbourhood + Both classical British food and inventive dishes + Always busy + Therefore, it can be a bit noisy and crowded Overall: The pub was already packed with people celebrating the end of week when we got there just before 6 for an early dinner. The area at the front of pub was SO noisy as people(mostly post work drinkers) were practically shouting to each other to make themselves heard over excessively loud music from the speakers. But they found a table for us in a smallish dining room at the back. The back room was much quieter. In contrast to the bar area, the customers in the back room consisted mostly of families and couples with hairy dogs(like the ones rich people have). My seat was a little tight as the tables are laid out quite closely to each other. But I didn’t mind. I only care about food. Thomas Cubitt is a great gastro pub that serves great modern British food. The dining bar with warm wooden furniture has abundant of natural light from large windows that look out to Elisabeth Street. I’ve only eaten downstairs but they also have a formal dining room upstairs for posh people. They have separate menu there. I’ve only looked at their website but the upstairs room seem a little too formal and stuffy for my taste. Food: I ordered pumpkin, quinoa and green apple salad. The salad was great. Red quinoa and pumpkin add a pleasant texture to the fresh spinach laves. Red cabbage and the yogurt based mustard dressing help combine all the individual ingredients. However, the star of this dish is the green apple. The firm and fresh apples introduce the nature zing and delightful juiciness to this salad. The fish and chips my friend ordered was great too.

The Thomas Cubitt is a gorgeous gastropub — light, airy and comfortable. I went with a friend for a quick work lunch today and sat in the window, and although the table was small and it initially looked like we would have hardly any space, we were perfectly comfortable. Couple the surroundings with the impeccable service and within 5 minutes, I’m already thinking about how impressed I am. And then the food came(very swiftly). Honestly, this might be the best burger I’ve ever tasted, and I’ve been waiting to say that for more than 20 years. The meat was perfectly cooked. Absolutely perfectly. I can’t stress enough how good it was. I felt ever so slightly out of place as I wasn’t in work clothes, but that was possibly only in my head as the staff certainly did not make me feel unwelcome, and the prices are on the high side, but these are trifles. I genuinely cannot wait to go back.

I wanted to meet a friend near Victoria for a casual lunch on a Saturday. We wandered towards Ebury Street and spotted The Thomas Cubitt on Elizabeth Street. It looked very airy and spacious from the street, so we decided to give it a go. We sat next to the bar in the passageway between the front and the back, but it wasn’t crowded or cramped at all. We had a glass skylight above us and the floor to ceiling windows on two sides of the open restaurant let in so much light and a lovely breeze. The menu had so much to choose from that it was hard to make a decision. We both ended up going for the cod special that was served on a couscous and mint salad. I had baked beetroot as a side and my friend had the peas. The cod was delicious, and the salad was perfect. I thought that the beetroot could have been a touch more flavoursome — it comes with horseradish, but even that didn’t give quite the kick I was looking for. The cod more than made up for it though. We were cajoled into having pudding and shared the apple and cherry crumble with ginger ice cream. Heavenly concoction! Really lovely. Definitely enough to share too — it was enormous! I would highly recommend this restaurant, the service and food were great and I think it was really good value for money — the ingredients are all fresh and THEYHAVESKIMMEDMILK!!! :-)
