Best pub by far I’ve found in the Lisson Grove area around Marylebone station. New looking furnishings and good variety of drinks on tap and bottled. Popular place but plenty of space with large comfy downstairs lounge where they have musicians playing sometimes! Feels stylish but without aiming to be too exclusive like some of the gastropubs in Marylebone. The only thing that lets it down — quite a lot — is that on each visit the music played in the background was all over the place, often straying into 90s cheesy dance and pop music which is totally at odds with the ambience of the rest of the pub!

I have been back a couple of times now so have tried a few things in addition to the ciders. I really enjoy the giant salads at this pub. I know you don’t usually go to pubs for salads, and I appreciate that… but if you need one, they’ve got them. Anyways, the fish and chips were also good, as was the hamburger. The atmosphere is chill and the staff is friendly. It might become my new local! My only criticism this far is that the free Wifi is advertised around the pub but doesn’t connect reliably(drops on and off — the servers are aware of the problem).
