Caution Groupon Users! I wish I’d written this review sooner as I just saw that Runway has posted yet another Groupon deal today. In my opinion the Groupon is misleading as it offers a MOROCCANOIL Treatment with wash, cut and blow-dry for 28pds at a 67% discount. Now, if you’re a regular Grouponer like me, you check out the details, and you’d assume that this meant the Groupon was for a haircut with Top Stylist and for the 25pd MOROCCANOIL treatment on the price list. Be WARNED, this is not what you’re getting, the treatment is not in fact any kind of deep conditioning or rejuvenating MOROCCANOIL Treatment, it is simply the application of MOROCCANOIL during styling, which most salons offer for free. Well, at least RUSH has for my last two haircuts. I also didn’t get a ‘Top Stylist’ but I understand that who you get always depends on availability, I do not understand being dishonest about the treatment you are receiving. I have contacted both Runway and Groupon about the misleading ad. Groupon being the fabulous company that they are have responded and provided me some compensation in return which they really didn’t have to. Runway however has not provided any response. I think it’s really sad that they leave it to their stylists to break the news to clients about what is actually offered. In my opinion it’s simply taking advantage of people’s inherent desire not to offend, because we wouldn’t want to complain directly to the stylist who is currently cutting our hair, would we? Clyde was my stylist like our other Groupon use and he was great. If I could review Clyde individually he would get 4 stars, he was friendly, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. If I could review the salon itself I would give it 1 star. This is not only due to the dishonest advertising, but also the cold welcome received at reception and also the fact that 15 minutes after my appointment time nobody seemed to notice, action was only taken when I pointed out and asked when I would be starting my appointment. For those of you that bought the Groupon today, apologies for not posting earlier, but I encourage you to call the salon and confirm the treatment you are receiving.

Like another reviewer here I was nervous about going along to The Runway as I’d seen mixed write-ups, but I was really pleasantly surprised by my experience there. The stylists seemed really laid back(which is a big plus for a shy person like me who hates being fussed over in any way) and did not appear flustered when i rang from the station saying I would be 10 minutes late. I was expecting a bit of a ‘no frills’ salon having come in on a great offer for highlights and a cut for less than £70. It wasn’t über chi-chi, but it was clean, roomy and functional with a separate hair-washing area with some of the comfiest back-wash basins I’ve ever experienced! I had turned up with a bad neck and was expecting the usual torture, but the wash was unusually comfortable. The cut and styling I had was great, with some extra tips thrown in but no pressure to buy products I have paid a lot more for styles I’ve been far less happy with. My stylist, Clyde, was also fab very down to earth and friendly. I’d recommend this place to customers of either sex who want good value and a stress free service.

I found a groupon deal a while ago for Morrocanoil Treatment With Wash, a hair cut for £26(rather than £80.) I would never have paid £80, but it was pretty bargainous for the amount I paid! The salon was nice, the staff were friendly and my hair looks all-right. I wouldn’t say it’s the best haircut I’ve ever had, but I’m happy with it. My boyfriend didn’t notice the difference, but I think that’s more a case of him losing a star, rather than the hair-dresser! *If you go here, and have the chatty SA bloke(Clyde) ask him about improv’ gigs that he used to attend near Johannesburg. I had to change the subject as I was worried that my giggles would wibble me into a bad haircut. Eep! ** I’m not convinced that the staff knew about the product they were trying to sell. I was told Morrocan oil was from India *slight head explosion*

I slightly felt cautious as I expected to be told what the therapist would be doing. She didn’t speak much English but I guess I was slightly paranoid as a facial novice. However, after the scrubbing, rubbing, cold and hot sensations I was left me with a fabulously soft cleansed complexion. Recommended.

Full price — 2 stars Price I paid — 4 stars Average rating — 3 stars So there is this website that sends out offers for local spas and knowing that I’ll be needing a beauty bust before my holiday I booked a facial, pedicure and massage for just over £20. I have to say it was all a little«homemade.» This place is quite obviously a great salon, they even have the lovely chairs for hair washing that don’t hurt your neck, but what is weird is that I had a pedicure in a normal hair salon chair with my foot on the beauticians lap. Not very comfortable or relaxing. there was no filing of my feet and it was just a little disappointing. Also they had China Glaze colours but no OPI or Essie, which are my favourite. I can’t however, complain about my beautician, who was wonderful. She really explained about my skin and why my feet were a little bit Shrek like in the heat. Well okay, a lot Shrek like! I was a little uncomfortable towards the end when I felt like she was pushing products on me to spend more. But I guess they have to do things like that to get their money up. It was nice, I am relaxed, I would do it again, but maybe I’ll just do my feet myself.

This day spa and salon has a great variety of services, from massage services, to spray tan, manicure & pedicure, facials, waxing and many others. The good thing about this place is that the prices are relatively ok. The downside is you must book in advance, otherwise it gets really busy and if you decide to pop in you might have to wait for a while or come back some other time. The Dermatologica Express facial is fantastic, in just a couple of minutes your face receives a boos of life, give that one a try.
