Nice meeting place to have drinks. If you have no reservation you get seated at this huge table with other folks. The food is on the pricier but worth every pence. I had the beef Wellington and it is amazing.

The décor is pretty awesome, and the staff are pretty attentive and spot on(our water was constantly topped up without having to ask). However they seemed to have gone for style over substance, typified by their menu. There were rather confusing different sections for different times of day. But the worst part was the lack of basic labelling(vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, contains nuts etc) and or any real descriptiors of the food. For example, I ordered the ‘Superfood and Herb’ salad with added haloumi cheese. The menu had no description of which superfoods were included, and the waitress couldn’t shed much light(although I didn’t push it). When the salad arrived it was rather conspicuous in it’s lack of herbs. The food was however pretty decent. But I don’t think I’ll be back as I don’t like the Russian roulette feeling to the menu. And the annoying loud teenagers with their iPhone.

Best breakfast place in London. Hands down. I always order the iced coffee and avo & feta on toast.

Great choice of savoury breakfast dishes. I had avocado Benedict which was delicious with feta. Perfectly cooked. Very instagramable and super filling. I also had a smoothie which was huge and very nice too.

So I saw this restaurant on a couple of lists for the best English breakfasts and fell in love with the pics of the décor. The décor lived up to the hype, the food and cleanliness did not. I had the avocado toast with poached eggs and it was pretty good. My meal mate had the French toast which ended up being cold when she got it. To add insult to injury our cups and saucers and teapots were NOT clean. The service was great. People were pleasant and helpful, and the décor was awesome.

Seriously, don’t even bother coming here for breakfast. Worst breakfast ever! The scrambled eggs are a weird colour, consistency and are super salty! Coffee is bad! Well nothing more to say… If you have bad coffee, I am clearly not your target market.

You definitely need to book in advance if you plan to visit this café on a weekend! Even on a weekday you are hedging your bets if you expect to just rock up. The service in this café is impeccable and it is definitely a good option for taking friends from outside the city. There’s a very laid back atmosphere and the décor is really nice too. The only thing is that the service can be quite slow so if you’re in a rush, it’s not the place to be. As you will have probably had to wait for your reservation, take your time and enjoy the ambiance! I had the chorizo hashbrowns which were really nice as there was plenty of chorizo in them and the hashbrowns were really cripsy. A friend had the eggs benedict which while tasty wasn’t very filling and we were glad to have gotten some pastries on the side. The avocado on toast was pretty good! The coffee was average which is a big disappointment. As someone who really likes to get a good kick it was quite weak. The smoothies on the other hand were really flavourful and a pretty good size, even if they are a bit on the pricey side. I had been looking forward to going here for quite some time and I wasn’t disappointed. If I were taking friends from outside the city, this is definitely a good option as it’s a nice experience but it isn’t the first place I’d rush back to for my usual weekend brunch as it’s a little more expensive than other places which are just as good.

The quest for the best avocado on toast keeps going — Riding House Café does this well: they’re putting feta and poached egg on the avocado toast(that is the best combination) It was good but nothing to die for. The rest of the menu was ok(french toast were good but again not amazing) and coffee was a bit weak. It’s a nice place for breakfast but maybe not the best one in town. It’s hard to get in without a booking, but cool thing is the big communal table that you can’t book.

I love the interior of this place but I loved that it was open in a seemingly deserted center of town one Sunday morning. I got a full fry up and I liked it very much. Service was frantic but accommodating. Took us a while to get seated it was busy. Good juices and tea to go with it. I’d definitely come again for lunch or it seems like the perfect setting for brunch quite honestly, with some friends.

The food was awesome. The bacon has a great smokey flavor, the pancakes were really good and my hubby loved the eggs Benedict. They have a coat check for cold days and great service.

A very New York style, beautifully designed café/restaurant. The only difference is that they do not do bottomless(all you can drink) brunch. The service has the same attentiveness as a New Yorker Café(you wait at the front, they set you, only certain people can take your order and one specific person looks after your area) and you can book a tables even for breakfast. The menu is a little on the ex-y side but you are paying for not just breaky but the whole experience so I think it is worth it. The menu has everything you need to start the day– av(and feta and eggs if you please) on toast, full English, full veg(one of the best that I have ever had), hash browns, bircher and some ‘creative things’. All done in a way that is one step up from usual. My only food complaint is that they have not nailed the runny egg. Hence 4 stars. They have a range of breakfast cocktails and, of course, a blood mary that will sort your hangover out. The coffee is pretty good– it’s not quite at Australian standard, but it’s about a 3.8÷5. The seats are super comfortable and all of the furnishings are so soft and hard to pull yourself away from. There is one large table down the centre of the restaurant which is used as a share table, there is seating at the bar(very luxurious stools) and then there is a very, very comfy velvety bench around the side. If you are booking ask for the bench part it’s the best for people watching too.

Reservation recommended, but you can also wait for half hour and get a table(you can ask for a drink in the meanwhile) the food is very good, eggs florentine in the picture! nice smoothies also! Attention for every little detail, nice atmosphere, tables seem very close one another but they are not!

Good place to get the full English breakfast. Busy place, book a table if you’re not here on a weekday. The service isn’t good and the coffee is not impressive. Go for the food and get coffee across the street afterwards. The full and proper English is A. Lot. Of. Food, the black pudding is especially good. You can have it without toast if low carb is your style. This will keep you fill for a good amount of time. Not the best English breakfast I’ve had, but still worth the visit. The hash brown is good, too, according to my partner.

It was okay. First issue was when we arrived, we were told there’d be a wait time(understandable) and would we mind standing where we were until a seat was available for us to wait on. There was a girl by herself behind us who hadn’t had her name on the wait list yet, and then a big lady who pushed in front of this girl with her whole family. This immediately pissed me off, and I pointed out she had just pushed in front of someone. She then got rowdy and started insulting me, all the while the door lady was just standing there. We waited for 15 minutes to be seated at the bar… Unhappy about that, when people who had been behind us in the line got actual tables. The menu was ok. The only reason we stayed was that my boyfriend really wanted to try their buttermilk pancakes(which were actually really good). I ordered one eggs Benedict, and after seeing someone’s food went by, asked if it was at all possible to change my order. Our waiter/bartender was able to do this which I really appreciated. What I ended up eating was a ‘chorizo hashbrown with poached eggs’. Overall it was good, but the entire potato hashbrown was soggy(was it meant to be like that?) and the chorizo left wet patches over it. Eggs were cooked almost perfectly though.

Went for brunch and really enjoyed everything. I ordered the chorizo with hash brown, poached eggs and mushrooms. It came in healthy portions and was very flavourful. I really liked my cappuccino as well. One of the better coffees I’ve had at a brunch place. Service was good and prompt. Our waitress was polite and very capable at managing all the tables. Ambience was also nice — spacious and well decorated. Would be suitable for any sort of occasion. Overall, definitely recommend it!

If there’s one thing I love more than breakfast, it’s being out of the office at a working breakfast and the best place for a working breakfast has to be the Riding House Café on Great Titchfield Street. If you go mid-week, you’ll find tables filled with twentysomething media types brainstorming, networking and working on their big ideas and this day was no different, in fact Abbey Clancey was being interviewed by a journo on the very table next to me!(yes she’s more beautiful in real life and no she didn’t eat anything!). The menu at the Riding House is pretty varied, you can go for sweet or savoury depending on whether you fancy pancakes or eggs — always a tough choice in my mind — and they do really great smoothies which are served in milk bottles. On this occasion, I opted for the avocado on toast with poached eggs — but i can also vouch for the buttermilk pancakes! And the Chorizo hash browns… and the eggs benedict…

Saturday brunch, they were pretty busy and we didn’t have a booking but managed to get a table for two after a little wait. Breakfast menu was great, service was attentive and food delicious. Was also good that you can order single eggs benes so you can make room for other delicious treats. You can also get lobster benedicts!

«Do you how you can tell this place is a genuine country pad?» I remarked we entered in search of brunch, «it’s the exposed breeze-block ceiling.» What can I say, the affected retro/faux industrial interior craze that is sweeping London’s brunch venues annoys me. The anxious conformism displayed for one, and the head-in-hands lack of originality for another. At best it seems to result in venues little different from each other. At worst it seems to be prompting some restaurant chains(e.g. Balans) to ditch their strengths(quality, value, service) in favour of apeing Bill’s in all but name. Anyway, I digress. Evidently Riding House Café’s interior does not break the mould for brunch places. How about its food? Little different I think, ranging from run-of-the-mill(the Eggs Royale I had), to above-average(a ‘Super food’ salad, the name of which causes me to grimace). Overall? Just about A-OK, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

Hands down my favorite brunch spot in London. I highly recommend the pancakes — 3 pancakes topped with clotted cream and strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. I’m also a big fan of the avocado eggs benedict — avocados are very fresh and the eggs are cooked perfectly. Also, definitely try the different teas. I love the mint tea. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. If you don’t, you’ll have to eat at the sharing table or the bar — both of which are not bad. Overall: delicious brunch, lots of options, highly recommend
