The Refinery

It was my first time at a London Spa, and given the current exchange rate for the Euro, it was relatively affordable compared to the past.
For the ambience, I was a bit disappointed at first. If you have ever been to a spacious spa in an upmarket hotel, you now what I have been missing. Hey, this is central London, the idea of space has a different meaning here.
However, the treatment, a deep tissue massage was astonishing. I have had massages before, but nothing that could equal the experience. My therapist was not only professional and genuinely friendly, but the massage really yielded in a much better result than anything before.
I definitely will come back.

Directly opposite Claridges, this is an exclusive male salon and spa in the center of London offering many interesting and exotic treatments alongside more traditional services such as a barbers.
I must confess that I had never heard of this place nor would I have ever looked for it.
I was given a very generous gift from a kind boss for a job well done so I took myself and my partner along for a day of pampering.
I had the whole body scrub and hot stone massage with detox. It was amazing. Considering we booked the day of the bombings in London (and everything was very stressful outside) — I completely forgot about the day and all my worries. I have never been so relaxed.
My partner had a full body massage and was like jelly when he came out.
I can not recommend this place highly enough. I wouldn’t pay the high prices for a hair cut or a neck shave but I would definitely recommend it for a treat.
I have an account now with some credit — I simply need to find time in my busy schedule to go back!
