Very nice looking place, simple and honest menu. Food and service however tend to be disappointing, don’t expect too much and you’ll be fine!

Our only ‘decent’ pub in the area but I wouldn’t say it’s anything special. It has a pretty standard gastro pub vibe about it, the drinks aren’t all that well priced considering the area. You pay central London prices for what you get, which is a little off putting and the food is just okay. Saying that, it does get quite busy since it’s the only place in the area that isn’t a hole in the wall Irish pub filled with old men who drink from open till close.

Just what you want from a good West London gastropub! The Queensbury( ) knows what it wants to be and focuses on getting it right; it’s a nice, friendly pub that serves decent beer and tasty, well-presented food. The interior is attractive and comfortable. There’s a seperate restaurant with quirky décor, while the bar is more your standard leather sofa and coffee tables affair. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, reflected in the fact that the people whose table we perched on were happy to start a conversation. The wine was nice and not over-priced and my friend reports that their ale selection does the job. The menu is straightforward and although there wasn’t a great deal of choice with the vegetarian option, I had the goats cheese tart and it was really nice. The Queensbury people actually have a little deli café down the road that serves lovely tea and cakes if you’re out-and-about in the afternoon and think it’s really too early to be drinking!

Good drinks, although manageress cannot tell when a wine is corked, but still she replaced it. Funky looking place and great outdoors. The food is made to look trendy and the price reflects this, but unfortunately the taste doesn’t, i much prefer their deli down the road for food(also some good wines)

Decent boozer and the best in the area but could be better. Its pricey but I guess its a sign of the times and the reason why so many pubs close down. The outside area is great when its warm. The inside area is too small I find. If you dont have a seat you are standing in an area which has a lot of traffic with people going backwards and forwards. The beer choice could be better too. The restaurant is OK. It’s quite pricey and I went over Xmas. I ordered a steak and it was very chewy which I was disappointed about. I expected a piece of meat that would cut like butter and taste great but this wasnt the case. Perhaps this is a one off as I dont want to slate the restaurant just for the sake of it. The rest of the food was good and the people I was with enjoyed their food.

Pros Least worst pub in the area, its actually got a nice beer garden, you can generally get a seat even on a nice sunny day. Lovely interior in winter with the fire on, lovely. Cons drinks prices have gone up quite a bit and the food is not good at all, dodgy pub food but quite expensive. Go there for a drink, not a meal.

Pretty, Trendy but not intimidating pub across from the Willesden Green station. They have a fancier style of brit pub food. After grabbing a few pints we nibbled on the salt n pepper squid. A bit on the soggy side but still tasty. And excuse me British people who I already know… WHY didn’t anyone tell me what a croque madame was earlier?!? Poached egg on a mustardy bechamelly parma ham and cheese sandwich. oh my goodness that was delicious and almost naughty, almost. Get that. it comes with a little salad and a bowl of chips for like 7.50. Was here on a Tuesday afternoon so it was just us and the bartender and the owner hanging out behind us at a table. Got to chat about the cask ale on tap. Wells Banana Bread Beer. Its weird but good and just what it sounds like. And only there for like two more weeks. And they have a front outside patio area thats going to be really great this summer.

I’m afraid I found little to like in this pub. I didn’t feel it had any kind of charm, personality or atmosphere. They service was very slow… possibly due to the cocktails they serve. And they had sparklers on the ale taps, which add froth and remove flavour.

Decent pub with a restaurant serving your typical pub menu.

The Queensbury is most probably the only decent pub in Wilesden, especially within earshot of Willesden Green tube. The selection of beers is limited, and you’ll find the range from Amstel to Red Stripe leaves you with little choice but to go for high or low end hop barley water. There is a great selection of spirits however, and this is just fine by me! The interior is open, with several seating areas, one clustered by a roaring fire perfect in the winter, and another stretch of seats and tabels along the wall opposite the bar. The dining area is spacious, but I am yet to try the food so i’ll reserve judgement until I can. The overall feel of the pub is of genuine warmth and the friendly bar staff help to further this. Great pub, well worth a visit.

Nice boozer– formerly known as ‘The Green’ Has a lovely interior with very friendly staff. There is lots of outdoor seating which has heaters in winter and parasols in summer. Recommended.
