HORRIBLE! I went in with about 60 minutes until boarding looking to get some ice cream. I was seated at the bar and waited for over 20 minutes before finally signaling to someone that I wanted to order, she politely said«wait a moment sir, I’ll get your server». I then waited another 5+ minutes and finally flagged down a second person because no one came the first time… so I’m almost 30 minutes into my visit and I have just given my order. about 5 minutes later the server comes back to verify my order. about 10 minutes later the server brings me the WRONG item! I then ask her for the correct one and she messes that up too. she then says«I thought you were in a hurry?». so basically because I was in a hurry she thought it was ok to just give me something, anything to get me on my way! I picked up my bags and went to my gate having wasted 40 minutes and gotten nothing soooo the food might be good, I have no idea since I never tasted anything but the service is atrocious!

This is the second time I’ve been back here and it didn’t get better. Ignored for ages by the waiters, tables left uncleared all around me. Expensive and just not that good. I’ve tried the food at dinner and breakfast now. Heston please train your staff better!

This place is in terminal 2. We were headed to Sweden and just arrived from the US and needed breakfast. The atmosphere is nice, open and air and a little swanky which I like. The menu had some nice items and the food wasn’t bad. The service was pretty friendly. It took a little while to get the check but overall a nice experience. Its worth a try.

The worst thing about this restaurant is its pretentious name. Whilst evaluating how to kill an hour at an airport, the Perfectionist moniker alone is nearly enough to drive one away. Alas, they live up to their name, and their signature fish and chips dish is rather fantastic! With mushy peas that embody the crunch and mouth warmness that is often promised, but rarely delivered, it was a great contrast to the fish and chips. The fish itself was nearly perfection! Perfectly cooked, well seasoned, without the soggy or drippy characteristics that can often take a fish and chips dish to Blah. A nice selection of draft beer, this is one of the better airport deals you’ll find. The food is solid, the environment is clean, the waitstaff is knowledgable, this is about as good as it gets in terms of airport offerings. Would surely go back the next time I fly from this Terminal.

World famous fish & chips by Heston Blumenthal is served her for only 14£. Great quality, delivered in 5 minutes, at a good price. Great value, and highly recommended!

Good place to stop in the fancy new terminal 2 — our food came promptly and my friends were impressed with their pizza and salad. I had gelato which while not at Italian standards was a nice treat before flying to somewhere where it’s not safe to eat frozen dairy! Overall great standard for an airport eatery, but expect fairly high prices.

A really nice place for breakfast if you are waiting for a flight out if London-Heathrow airport. The food was solid, it all was good. The only questionable part was the service? We had an Asian guy who had a bit of an attitude and blew us off for his break and never told us. All and all it’s worth a try…

Not bad for an airport, I guess. Was going to go with eggs florentine but looking at some of the pictures here I’m glad I didn’t — had porridge made with semi-skimmed milk with yoghurt; wasn’t much yoghurt but the porridge was thick enough. Kinda expensive(£5, plus ~£4 for tea?) but reasonably comfy seats and proper wifi which puts it ahead of, say, Leon where I might normally have gone.

What kind of place would call itself the Perfectionist Café? I mean, how pretentious is that? Or so I thought when I first saw this place out of the corner of my right eye as I entered the new Heathrow terminal after clearing baggage checks. A cursory inspection of the menu outside the café sort of confirmed my suspicion, ordinary food, but at airport prices. C’mon, fish and chips for 14 quid?! But a closer inspection peaked my interest. Batter siphoned in a something to aerate it so that it will be light and fluffy, some fancy mint to lift the mushy peas, Essence of onion extracted into some sort of spray to enhance the experience of actually being in a ‘Chippie’? What’s going on here? We decide to give it a try. And then a mural on the wall revealed more. A mural of the Chef himself. Ah, finally it’s beginning to make sense. Yes, I’ve seen him on TV, and he does take perfection to extremes. Anyway I do try the fish and chips. And my Wife and kids the pizza. Let’s just say I do fancy myself as a connoisseur of fish and chip, even Travelling up to North Finchley for my 2 Brothers fix. It was good. But had I known I was going to encounter perfection at the airport, I would given that a miss. How perfect? Perfect. And the pizza? So perfect my Wife and kids spared me only a tiny bite, not even a slice! So here’s my tip. If you’re Travelling to London, and as any good self-respecting tourist, will need to have a fish and chip fix, just get it at the airport on your way out. You won’t regret it.

We visited the Perfectionist’s Café on November 17th at 10am and were highly unimpressed by the standard of service and food we received. After vying for the attention of a server for over 10 minutes we finally ordered 2 Bacon Butties with side orders of Sausage. Upon the arrival of our food it was evident that we could have had the same quality(and probably better) in a greasy spoon for about 20% of the £34 pounds it cost us. Coffee wasn’t great and there was a poor selection of soft beverages. The part that annoyed me most about our experience was the auto gratuity of 18% that was added to our bill. We shan’t be returning to this restaurant.

The good: service was prompt and friendly. Tea and eggs Hollandaise came out super quick. The unsure: I usually expect Eggs Hollandaise to be a tasty mess. These were a little bit too perfect in appearance. Taste was bland. Actually worried that the dish came out a bit too quick and may have been made in advance. Net review: Order something else. Pizza or fish and chips perhaps. I might come back but I will look around the other tables until I see something I like before ordering. The official name for this place is «The Perfectionist’s Café», so more reviews can be found there. The sign on the wall says«Heston’s».

Everything was superb — food, service, ambience and décor. Menu sounds like most cafes/casual restaurants eg steaks, pizzas, burgers etc but the quality of ingredients and execution is excellent. Great option for a bite to eat — a nice way to start a holiday.

We ordered the fish and chips, the full English breakfast, and a 4 cheese pizza. Everything was flavorful, well-seasoned, and hot. A rare combination for airport food. Pizza was enough for one person and had a nice crust. Fish wasn’t greasy and bland as you often find. The full English breakfast was perfect. Our server was pleasant. Hostess was a bit of a pain. Overall recommend.

Let me start by saying… breakfast all day!!! Service is solid. Host wasn’t very friendly but maybe she was having a bad day. I had the pizza and salad. Tasty, crust was thin Neapolitan style. Salad was fresh. Drinks and small and no refills(which is typical in this part of the world). Good came out very quickly. Overall great for an airport restaurant.

My go to in terminal 2! Super child friendly! Best high chairs I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. Stokke brand. My daughter had her first high chair experience in this restaurant at 5 months because the high chair is so versatile! Staff is great and food is consistently good and fairly priced. I recommend the yogurt and granola. Amazing sweet honey granola! Flight updates are posted around the restaurant so you can sit and relax until your gate is released. No complaints at all!

Food is a must have before a trans-Atlantic flight, so I came for breakfast at around nine AM. The restaurant was about half full, I was seated quite quickly, and gave my order. After a while someone sat next to me and then revived their full order. A few minutes later my waiter came back an asked if I had ordered. Not impressed. The coffee was good, but tiny. The eggs Benedict were average, but looked lonely in the middle of the empty plate. On the bill was the option to pay in Canadian, just $ 30.25. Finished up and went looking elsewhere for more food.

First full disclosure here I am convert to the pursuit of perfection by Heston. Just like his scientific approach towards food where one can replicate results again and again. Unfortunately due to lack of time I didn’t even bother trying to look at his other establishments in London. While looking at this master chef’s website I noticed that there was an outpost at the Terminal I was flying out so instead of getting the freebie items that pass off as food in the airline lounge decided to have breakfast here. A lot of items that were demonstrated on his show were available here for sale. I went for the fish and chips. This is a quick dine and dash kind of place so I wasn’t expecting much here though the open space makes it better than what one expects at the airport. My food was brought promptly. The presentation is nice and clean. Nice plump cut of fish. Nice stack of chips with house made tartar sauce. The batter on the fish looked similar to what I saw on the show. Decent version of the fish and chips though it didn’t blow me away. Same goes for fries I was expecting to be blown away seeing the amount of effort that goes in to make these. I guess they might be taking a short cut to serve quick food here. I would say 3 star overall. It true I suppose that one should never meet one’s idols as one is bound to be let down. Still due to a personal bias and airport location I am obligated to give a half star bump.

Pretty happy with fish and chips — fish was very moist and tender. Mint accented mushed peas a nice touch. Fries good too. Not cheap though

In an unfortunate way, this food was far from made by anyone ‘perfectionist’. For £15 I expected a lot more from the burger I got. Asked if the burger, their signature, was better than the pizza and was told yes. Sadly the £15 burger wasn’t anything special. Presentation on a large white plate was boring. Biting into it released a lot of water onto the plate. Lettuce was limp, gherkin was untastable, tomato was thinly sliced and onion was untastable(and unseeable at first). Meat was a perfect medium. Bun on base was a bit soggy, bun on top was drying out. Fries were tasty, but just salted. Burger sauce was tasty but nothing much more than Hellmans Burger Sauce. Service: Great. Front of house gave me a great booth overlooking the terminal. Waitress was attentive and friendly, and they left me alone to enjoy my wine and view until I was ready. Genuinely nice. Wine: went with a 175ml glass of Rioja for £9.50. Expensive but definitely fruity and pleasing. Recommended, if overpriced. It is an airport overall. In short; it’s not worth it for the food alone. I’ve paid £10 for better gourmet burgers in Central. Grab the pizza if you must eat here, or a burger from Leon for £5. But if you want to relax a little in nice surroundings and money isn’t the issue, can’t find better.

It might be because Heston himself was sitting 2 tables away from me, it might be because this is the ethos of the diner but what ever the reason, the staff were superb. Add to that, an incredibly fast turn around from ordering to fruition and very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere and you get somewhere really worth visiting. Absent from the menu was anything exploding or frothing or made out of something unexpected… not the Heston fare you see the Chef producing on TV; instead it is just a well chosen small menu of very inviting things like salt beef sandwiches and fish & Chips. I spend a lot of time in Heathrow, I intend to spend a fair portion of it here in the future!

Had the fish and chips — it was a massive piece of fried fish, with a few chips. Not bad, but nothing fantastic. The mint-pureed peas were not good. Service was nice, and it was fast…

Because the name Heston comes beside it you imagine the full heston package. Sadly this doesn’t live up to being perfect. — Service is a tad slow — Only ice cream for desserts — COME on!!! The pizza was ok — nothing to go wow about. The Chaturie looks a bit on the skimpy side(hubbie had this). The coffee machine wasn’t working so could only offer me black coffee. Defo not Heston magical nor perfection.

In the context of regular airport dining options and prices, TPC is definitely worth a visit when in The Queen’s Terminal(#2) departure area. The fish and chips was great, a sizable, flakey moist fish with a beautifully crispy batter, good chips(though notwithstanding allergy concerns peanut oil would have been nice), and very tasty minted mushy peas. The burger was a bit disappointing, with good toppings but an under salted /needs more fat patty. This might have brought my rating down to 4 stars, but Heston redeemed himself with a special edition nitro ice cream that included a full shot of reserve scotch with the super smooth vanilla custard. Topped with toasted oats and raspberry sauce, MAN was it good. Hopefully they keep something like that on the menu once the airport’s whiskey promotion is over.
