I felt as if I was time warped to the 80s. Nothing seem to have changed same old carpet, plastic plants, and badly dressed tourists make up the ambience of the restaurant. I used to live in Bayswater, 4 years ago. Back then, I frequented the restaurant, primarily for their buffet which is by far more superior to Soho’s Chinese restaurants. As I seated, I was disappointed that nothing was laid on their buffet table. Not their fault! They only have it on certain days. I went the wrong day. So anyway, we created our own buffet. We ordered satay and some salad as starters but had them served together with our mains. We had nasi lemak, nasi goreng campung, beef rendang and a soup dish(can’t remember how it was called). They were generally satisfactory. Definitely not the best Malaysian food in London. But did the job for my craving. The service is appaling. The waiters are nice but they are obviously not up to scratch to the service you enjoy when you go to southeast asia. Or maybe they are just rich kids who took the waiting job while studying in London because of their family connection to the hotel owner. Some were clueless We had ice catchang for our sweet tooth. It was a delight Will I recommend. the buffet is worth trying, but make sure you go there on the right day!

Stopped off at the hotel for their Malaysian buffet in conjunction with a student society — nice food, relatively cheap, but probably subsidised by the society. Not a huge selection of choice, but it was all rather tasty.
