Amongst the many chavvy pubs and bars along Bromley High Street(including the Walkabout which is right next door), The Partridge stands alone as a friendly, inviting pub which has a warm and friendly atmosphere with nary a chav or teenager in site. Albeit, I’m only 33 and my husband and usually feel like we’re amongst the youngest of the crowd, but it’s worth the trade-off when compared to most of Bromley’s other drinking establishments. The building itself is a former bank, and the owners of The Partridge have turned it into a very attractive place for a drink and a meal if so desired. While the food is slightly pricier than your average Wetherspoons, it’s worth the extra couple of pounds for decent grub. The beer garden could stand to be a bit bigger as tables get filled quickly in the summer. That said, if you want a place to go in Bromley for a relaxing drink, decent music played at not too high a volume and without the fear of being beaten up by local yobs, The Partridge is your best bet.
