It’s a Weatherspoons, so there’s not too much to say about it. The bar is long, the staff are quick and helpful to prompt you for all the information they made need from you to get your order to the table(gotta love the ‘how to order’ instructions at the back of the menu), and drinks are cheap. In an area full of expensive bars it’s probably the only places besides home to get something at a reasonable price. It’s also substantial enough in size that even on a busy night you won’t be bumping into every other patron in an attempt to get another round. There are some comfy couches in the front and the back if you can nab one. There are also some big tables back there too if you want to bring in a larger group of people for a pint or a meal. The food is average; filling and cheap if you’re hungry, but nothing special. The toilets are clean and function well.

This J.D. Wetherspoon pub is a tastefully decorated place to get out of the rain and cold, get warmed up, have something to drink and eat, and surf the Triple W. This is 21st century London. Curious about people in general, I could not make out the language the help was speaking, and I’ve got a decent ear for language. Refugees from economic or political collapse in a distant land. It took three people’s English to get the order correct mainly because the trainee at the register, tho lovely and fair, was a new inductee into the Wetherspoon immersive English language experience. The others had participated a little longer and so we played cross-the-culture together and had an excellent time getting the order complete and correct. Mexican Burger? No way! We came to England to try English food. Fish and chips, steak and kidney pudding was our order. The fish and chips were fine. The pudding OK. Beautiful crust, big chunks of high-quality fat clinging to the steak, gravy probably from the Yorkshire gravy farm. Brown gravy seems to have one recipe across the prepped-food planet. Along our path, we got a taste for San Pellegrino limonata, had that for our dinner beverage and enjoyed that refreshing tuned-up water. The sanitary cover on the can top is an excellent idea Mr. S. Nestlegrino. It was decent, not great. Most of the items we could order in Phoenix Arizona. No fun for UK-struck American tourists. Within 24 hours, we were done with pub food.

Bisher immer sehr zufrieden. Das Essen ist hervorragend und für London sind die Preise sehr annehmbar. Die Location ist gemütlich und das Personal freundlich. Wenn ich in London bin, ein Pflichtbesuch!

Rustic, relaxing and tasty. You get much wood in the inside, feels like an old cottage. Fast cooking with very fresh and good ingredients. The prices are cheap for London and the menu has quite much diversity. The best is that they serve food till 11pm. The only downside maybe that you have to order the food yourself at the bar as the waiters that are running around, are only for cleaning up.

A very typical Weatherspoon’s but who can complain when meals and a drink for 2 people came to a mere £16? Decent food and nothing more– don’t go out of your way to come here but if you’re hungry and on a budget, pop in.

It doesn’t particularly stand out from any other wetherspoons, but if you are looking for cheap food and drink they are there in abundance. A decent drink selection, plenty of offers, and super quick food service. Not the sort of place I can imagine spending all night but as a stop off it not bad.

The food is pretty average, but it’s relatively cheap for the area. They have specials each night which include a drink for under 7 quid. That’s tough to beat in this nabe.

This is a typical low cost Wetherspoons location. Remember a few years ago visiting London and just going to these because it was all I could afford. Stopped by here a colleague before heading for dinner at a Thai restaurant and had a pint. It was one of the cheapest pints I had while in the UK this time around. The round tables near the back with the high chairs are nice.

You know what, I underestimated the food at Wetherspoons massively! I had the fish n chips n mushy peas there tonight for the grand old price of £6.20. It wasn’t the tastiest meal I’ve ever had but pretty good!

A decent JDW. A bit more low-brow than some of the other London Spoonies. There are 12 casks here, which is nice, and the price per pint is a little less than the average JDW in central London, which is also nice. The vibe in here is OK, but you get the feeling most people aren’t really here for quality beverages. Staff was friendly. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but this place is a short walk from the Old Fountain, so you could do a little one-two combination there.

Pub gets its name from its location being near the former office of Master of the Revels(not the chocolate. they have no masterthey revel(ah haha) in anarchy) where entertainment was organized for the Queen. The layout of this Spoons is pretty good. It’s big but the narrow corner shape means it doesn’t feel like an airport lounge. It does get a bit too busy at times though. And there is often a fault with the gents toilets(a local told me it was due to a deliberate dodgy installation by angry plumbers). The prices, for now, seem to be of the non cental London Wetherspoons, which is nice considering how central it in fact is. I hope someone doesn’t read this and correct this oversight. I have enjoyed a few pints of their regularly rotating ales and also the curry on curry night was delicious. Some of the staff are very friendly too.

This Wetherspoons pub did impress me,(which is unusual) The service was good and the staff polite, The atmosphere was good, perhaps as the majority of the customers, where people who had just finished work and having a few pints on thier way home, and not the all day drinkers you often find, in these pubs, They appeared to be doing a lot of food, mainly thier cheap meals but I never saw any being returned, and it was very busy, with a mixed crowd, and the décor was fairly good with lots of pictures of the area in the 1900s, It as a disabled toilet,(but you need to ask for the key) and baby changing facilities, I was rather disappointed to find that there was a step inside the entrance, But I did enjoy my visit, I did note that they was selling cider 7.5ABV. not for me thank you
