Oh to be a Gooner! Came here recently to watch the epic Arsenal v Leicester City game. Atmosphere was great. You can tell that pre-game has a lot of people who come for pints before heading to the stadium. But even so, 5 minutes before the match started, it was a full house. The pub has two main areas, both with big projector screens as well as smaller tvs around. Brighter side has some seating along the walls(coaches, chairs, etc.) but both sides are mainly standing room only. Cash only. Fun bonus: The Arsenal supporters’ band«The Away Boy» were setting up during the match and played adapted cover songs to celebrate the win. Really fun and lively.

As a lifelong fan of the Gunners who visited from the U.S., I must say that this bar, in particular, is a veritable shrine to Arsenal and a dream come true. It’s a great place to pre-game and sing our songs.

A historic Arsenal pub. There is quite a few good Gooner pubs in the area of course but this one is like a museum for Arsenal with photos all over wall. It’s great and perfect pre match or post match Arsenal game.

Best pub to come in London if you are an Arsenal fan, you may not want to leave. Wow!!! I have to add that people writing bad reviews just do not have any idea about Arsenal or football in general, and they should find more flashy and phony places suitable for them.

I recently visited The Gunners Pub for the first time, and it has to be said, I wasn’t impressed. The pub has recently been taken over by new ownership and I’ve heard that they have plans to revamp the pub and i’m really hoping that this is true… I’ll be happy to reassess my review once this is all said and done, but for now, it’s only getting 1 star. Even from the outside it doesn’t seem inviting… the building desperately needs a lick of paint(preferably some brighter colors) and a new logo. At the moment, it looks like the kind of place that you’d expect your drink to get spiked in. Inside, it only gets worse. The room is filled with tatty secondhand furniture, the kind of stuff you’d find at a Geriatrics’s garage sale, and far too much Arsenal paraphernalia. Now, I totally understand that this is a supporters pub… and I’m all for team paraphernalia, but the amount of stuff in this place is ridiculous… it’s cluttered with sweaty old jerseys, faded photographs and souvenir tat. My advice to the new owners is to reassess what decorations are necessary, get some new furniture and keep the Arsenal stuff to a designated area… if you want to attract a hot, young crowd on a friday night you’ve got to make it seem less like a serial killer’s crawl space. Now, although I wasn’t blown over with the aesthetics of the pub, I did have high hopes for the bar staff — good customer service can win me over any day! I went to the bar and ordered a pint of Staropramen from a very gloomy looking chap(I’m sure he’s as sweet as pie. Maybe he was having an off day) and he quickly snapped back«Don’t serve that.» Now, there’s a Staropramen logo right in front of me, so I wittily replied back«ah, false advertisement, I see.» This was a lighthearted joke that I meant no harm by, but the look on that man’s face was tainted with scorn and disgust, as if I had just bludgeoned a baby to death. Chill out man! It has to be said that the lady who was also serving seemed very friendly, but she will struggle to change the reputation of this place on her own. As I preceded to drink my beer and shake off the fright that my server had caused, I then had to witness a dog fouling on the floor right next to me… yep, inside! That about summed up the place for me. As The Gunners is one of my neighborhood pubs, I really want to see it prosper. It’s got a great beer garden for the summer months and I know that they’re incorporating events and theater into their weekly schedule, so there’s great potential here. I’ll pop my head back in at some point and i’m hoping that I’ll come out with a complete change in opinion. Come on… Gunners! Gunners! Gunners!

we came here right before an arsenal match. prior to arsenal matches the pub is only open to people with tickets to the game, luckily we were with a londoner who is a regular at the bar and a season ticket holder, and she got us in the pub. the patrons that day were getting their liquid fixes before kickoff. the crowd was lively and jovial. kudos to the bar staff who kept up with the endless line, and quickly poured the drinks.
