This is a coffee shop in a broad sense. It has a few seats inside and in summer has tables outside. But it mostly does take away food. If you are walking past, instead of smelling traffic fumes, you nose gets hit by the aroma of fresh brewed coffee and freshly made Churros, which I think is donuts or is it doughnuts? They also have sandwiches.

I recently swung by this new café to review it for Londonist( ) … and I’m so glad I did! I was most impressed with their churros and hot chocolate and will definitely go back for more. Dusted with cinnamon and sugar and served with an espresso cup helping of fairly thick hot chocolate, this £2.70 indulgence means more delicious library study breaks. With its takeaway window, outdoor seating and bar with a street view, the Espresso Bar is a nifty spot to watch the world go by. Indeed, the bar’s proximity to St Pancras guarantees prime people watching. Located on the outside of the British Library complex, this new Peyton & Byrne venture offers a tasty footnotes for library goers with his latest venture.
