Good local pub serving a good selection of beers. It has a relaxed unpretentious atmosphere. Good selection of board games to while away an hour or two on a Sunday afternoon. They also do food and themed nights.

Now called «The Elderfield», this is a pleasant no-​nonsense pub catering mosstly to the local middle class community. Good beers (including Timothy Taylor’s Landlord Bitter), good atmosphere and a good selection of bar snacks. Once of my favourite Hackney pubs (along with Biddle’s and the Pembury).

This is a great little pub hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Lower Clapton Road & Homerton High St. It is a light and airy pub with a kind of L shape design that means there is enough space to get served and lots of room to sit. A lot of pubs in this area are becoming very transient but due to its location this pub remains a ‘local’ without being unwelcoming to new faces. The clientel are made up of a healthy mixture of people from many different backgrounds and good conversations are easy to strike up. AND best of all is that the landlord looks like Bez out of the Happy Mondays!
