A rather middle of the road, but sensibly priced menu (think baked potatoes, sandwiches, and quiche) catering to the sort of customers one might expect in the heart of Nappy Valley. Kiddie friendly, with a small supply of toys and books, and special items on the menu such as the 50p Babychinno (thoroughly enjoyed by my 18 month old daughter). Service is reasonably friendly and middling efficient, although it does slow down at busy times which broadly coincide with the business of the nearby childrens’ playground.

Nice location, well priced and featuring decent service. I’ve eaten here a couple of times and on the most recent visit I opted for the baked potato with coronation chicken as I was just slightly late to get the all day breakfast. The potato though turned out to be an excellent choice topped with flaked almonds the coronation chicken was fantastically tasty.
A great pit-​stop if you’re passing through the common.

As a mother of three quite fussy children, eating out is often a difficult affair that usually ends in tantrums (usually mine).
However, Common Ground has shown me the light. There is plenty of space inside and out and children were out playing frisbee whilst waiting for food. I was lable to catch up on my calls and enjoy some spring sunshine and actually relax. Coffee and cakes were outstanding, kids food great and funnily enough it was kind of like dining alone!
I can highly recommend Common Ground, especially for single mothers who want to treat their offspring (and themselves!) to a hassle free meal.

Situated right in the middle of Wandsworth Common the Common Ground is the favoured meeting place of the Nappy Valley set. Be prepared for a plethora of Yummie Mummies, trendy tots and designer dogs. and more dogs!
They serve an excellent cappuccino and their home made cakes are to die for. Lunches can be a little uninspired and I overheard some negative comments on value for money!
Nevertheless, the location could not be bettered and with its pleasant outdoor seating area and cosy interior, you will not find a more pleasant spot to while away an hour or two.
