AVOIDAVOIDAVOIDAVOID When I arrived I was told they had no record of my booking. When I told them I booked it through , they said that that site sells their bookings without authorization and they were sold out for the night. If this is true, I understand that this isn’t their fault, but personally if I was in their situation, I’d probably want to take care of that. I booked the room in good faith, was charged for it, and arrived at the hotel after a full day of traveling. Honestly, the guy behind the counter acted like he couldn’t care less about me or the fact that I had booked a room in his hotel. I asked him if there was a hotel near by, he said there was a travelodge. I asked if he could call and ask if they had rooms available. He said they didn’t have their number and basically dismissed me. Never mind sympathy, he had no customer service or even basic human decency. Maybe messed up my booking, maybe he did. Maybe he took my money and double sold the room. Regardless, the vibe I got off both the manager and the hotel was sleazy. The travelodge down the street was clean, well staffed, and polite, and I don’t have to worry about my credit card numbers being stolen there. As far as I’m concerned, as long as this place doesn’t take care of their booking situation they are part and parcel to fraud.

Disgusting! If I could have given less than 1 star I would have. The location is in a not great part of the city first of all. In the lobby hangs a sign stating the red carpet is rolled out for the Guests of The Bridge Hotel. That red carpet is dusty and graying, and the mix match of crappy furniture sets the tone for the rest of this establishment. Our rooms were on the«2nd» floor, but after climbing the staircase with heavy suitcases(no lift was pointed out to us) it’s like you are actually on the 3rd or 4th floor. Once we got to our hallway, we could see trash everywhere. The housekeeper poked his head out of a door and told us our rooms were at the end of the hall. Inside 1 room was a long hair on the(fresh?) fruit. The room was small and just generally dirty. The other room was very smoky and also vey dirty. We went back to the lobby and we’re told the trash is in the hallway because all the rooms are not yet cleaned. Just very poor experience for a hotel with a good rating on Unilocal. We left and found a much better hotel in the city.

Gotta love that they are one of the cheapest hotels in the area. My first favorite thing about the London Bridge Hotel: its location. — There’s a supermarket less than a block away, open til 11pm. — It’s within walking distance to several Underground stations, including Borough, Southwark, and Elephant & Castle stations. — It’s within a 15-minute walking radius to several tourist attractions, such as the London Bridge, Tower Bridge, Borough Market, and the exhibitions along the River Thames, such as the London Eye. — There are some great pubs nearby, including The Trinity and The Ship. In terms of amenities, your typical boutique hotel. Good, functional, shower-only bathroom. There are complimentary apples in the room, a mini fridge, but it didn’t keep things that cold, basic cable, and free wi-fi. However, the wi-fi tended to get somewhat sketchy. The hotel has several wi-fi networks, named for the floors that they are intended to be used on, e.g., the lobby network, the 2nd floor network, the 3rd floor network, etc. We were on the 2nd floor, but at intermittent times, we failed to log in. Bottom line, if you need reliable wi-fi, be cautious. Gosh, though, the service was so friendly and earnest. They readily lent us an international power converter for the outlets, and gave us complimentary bottled water and apples. Take note: no elevators, so you’ll have to transport your baggage on stairs. Could have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly upon arrival. I didn’t take room service during my stay, but I feel that if I’d asked, they would have cleaned it up a bit more.
