Awesome pub a couple of blocks from our hotel(we stayed at the Hilton London Hyde Park). Good service and relatively busy for a Wednesday evening! Note, their kitchen closes at 10pm though!

Decent food but the service is so bad as to actually be laughable. I’m sitting at a table with half a plate of cold food as the person I’m dining with hasn’t gotten hers yet. Apparently the oven is broken, which no one bothered to tell us after we waited over half an hour for the food to come out. The staff are clearly overwhelmed– there are only three of them working and one hasn’t a clue as to what is going on. Wouldn’t come here again.

Just had a great salad at baywaterarms. Looked in the menu and it suggested to pair it with the ReKorderlig Cider. Perfect pair. Really enjoyed my meal, the chicken and bacon salad(£10.99) was delicious and the paired cider was sweet and refreshing(~£5). It’s a very popular and upbeat place withe seating inside and outside. I found a corner quiet table and sat down. I realized I had to go to the bar to order once I saw someone else do so. The waitress had a fun personality and they played top40 songs in the bar. I paid at the bar as well which they include the tip amount(VAT20%). I was able to get my drink right away(also they ID if you look young, good thing I brought a health card). The salad took around 10 minutes to arrive. Enjoyed my time here. I’d come again.

Great place to check out. Went a couple times while in town it was close to our hotel. The staff were great and food was pretty good. Overall, pretty good experience. We were able to get a table luckily every time. Gave it five stars because we didn’t really have any complaints. It was nice to just go there instead of searching for anything else. You order at the bar and just go up there when you want something. They will bring the food to your table. It’s cozy and a bit small, but makes for a lively atmosphere.

Last day in London and I wanted a full English Breakfast. Being that this place was right around the corner from our flat for the week, I took a chance on them. Bayswater Arms was good, really enjoyed the food. Locals might not pick this place as their #1. For a traveller it works. On to the food, big day ahead of you and you need a hearty breakfast. The Full English is packed with protein perfect to keep you going. *note picture below* The pub itself has the feel and look of all the other old style pubs around London. So the nostalgia of eating in a English pub is there. No complains from me on Bayswater Arms I enjoyed it all. If ever I’m back in the area I know I have a cool place to go eat and have a drink. Cheers and enjoy life!

This is a pub catering to visiting tourists who want to get the«British pub experience» but don’t know where to go so they go here because it’s right on Queensway. Even by the standards of this neighbourhood, which are not high, this pub is pretty poor. Uninspiring cask selection, standard lager fare. They do food here but I have never eaten it, and I gather it’s somewhat shabby. I’m sure this place goes over well with tourists who don’t know any better but I don’t know any Londoners who would frequent this place.

A corner pub that serves fish and chips. This was the first place in the UK that I had tasted fish and ships, the service was a bit slow, but I have no complaints for the fish and chips. The fish was crunchy and perfect for my picky taste. The fries were a bit spongy, but it was fine once I put ketchup on it and into my mouth. As the people around me saw me using ketchup, they knew I was an American haha.

I came here after checking into my hotel, as it was right around the corner from it and I was too tired to wander about. Ordered the fish and chips to go, didn’t even receive a bag for my takeout. While the chips were ok, the fish was meh… tasteless and with soggy batter coating. Definitely not worth the £11.99.

Stopped in here on a whim after checking out the dinner menu posted at the door. I really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was quick and attentive, and the food was tasty. I will be back.

LONDON! :) I was tired and hungry and quite delirious when we seated ourselves in this cozy little pub. I was thrilled with the quick service and enthralled by the dumbwaiter that brought our food up from below. DUMBWAITER… not dumb waiter. Yes, there is a difference. The food was priced well, and the portions were hefty. –For me to write that means they give a lot of food. I ordered the fish and chips(because it’s London, baby!) it did not disappoint. Very crispy and fresh, it comes with a side of tartar sauce in case you can’t hack the vinegar. Also included were garden peas. You could opt for mush peas, but that sounded… well, gross and mushy. We ate here twice during our stint in London. The food is good, the beer is excellent(so I was told), the wash rooms are clean, and the people friendly. Yay London!

My husband and I came here for breakfast one morning during our stay. The place was full of people, the staff looked rushed, and we soon realized we were meant to seat ourselves. We both ordered the full breakfasts, and each came complete with a delicious large cooked mushroom, a softly cooked tomato, beans and toast, some wonderfully flavored pork sausages, and some ham/bacon.(I also could have ordered a vegetarian version of the meal had I preferred it). The place felt very neighborhoody, and I appreciated the saltiness of the sausage, the moist, well cooked mushroom, and the tomato, the latter cooked just the right amount of time to be slightly soft without being mushy. Definitely worth a visit, however didn’t find staff to be super friendly, just hurried.

I agree with Dick W. What the Bayswater Arms lacks in ambience, it makes up for in friendliness. It’s nothing special. Some friends and I were staying at a hostel nearby, and we would stop in for lunch or an afternoon pint. Fairly standard beer, fairly standard food. Though, they do make a good pot of tea. It has been quite some time since I’ve been here(it was in my pre-yelp days, how terrible) but there are two things that I remember about the Bayswater Arms — reeeeaalllllly friendly staff, and really good toast.

I stopped for a drink here on my way to a restaurant and without doubt was served by the two most miserable and disinterested bar staff ever. The pub was drab and can only make money from tourists or people desperate to have a drink after they get of the tube. it had a quiz machine to take our minds off the atmosphere as we finished our pints befofore we left.

What it lacks in ambiance, it makes up for in friendliness. When the mouth-breathers at The Black Lion turned us away because we had a child with us(*fine* — I didn’t want to go there anyways), one of their staff apologetically suggested that The Baywater Arms was licensed for families. Sure enough. Staff are friendly, the food(while not gastro-pub) will certainly line your stomach enough to help you along with a good few drinks. The lighting in here is a real buzz-kill though. Although, it kind of reminds me of The Jockey in Shameless.

One of the only pubs near our hotel. I am so glad we stopped in right before leaving London! The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the beers they had. Didn’t eat here, but can def recommend to stop in and have a drink!

This was my first stop in London as I had just checked into my hostel and didn’t know where to go to get a quick bite. Naturally, after being on a plane for 10+ hours, I wanted a pint, so I went to the first pub I could find, got a Fuller’s on draft and an order of fish and chips. Their fish and chips were ok, nothing special. You get one big piece of fish and a decent amount of chips with a little bit of peas. It was in the middle of the day when I was there, so it wasn’t that hopping, but I went back for a beer later in the week at night and it gets quite busy with the after-work crowd.

— Most English pubs are the same. But there are better ones and those you shoulnd‘t visit again. Bayswater Arms belongs to last ones. Nothing special about it and lousy food. Around the corner(Bayswater Rd./Queensway) is another pub with exactly the same menu.

There are really only a few decent pubs in that busy area and this one is not one of them. It’s a boring and not really friendly place. It has nothing positive or special to be mentioned. I never liked it. There are better pubs down Moscow Rd.

This is one of the few pubs on the Queensway stretch, and I can only come to the conclusion that they’ve done a good job. The place is dashed out with Christmas spirit and the interior décor is a mixture of new with traditional touches. The windows are magnificently done up I feel, which is definitely strange for me to notice in a pub. but just have a look and see what I mean. It shows that they are in touch with the modern yet traditional way and the atmosphere represents this as such, with friendly people present. Quite close to the Queensway underground station so you get a mixture of clientele present, either passing through or leaving once again. A nice place!

Fozy vergibt drei Punkte.
