i visited the store today with what i thought would be a simple query having been overcharged by £2.99 just under a week ago the last time i visited(i had the receipt) … instead it turned out to be one of worst customer experiences. i was informed that lots over customers say this. we have to check cameras. the people in the office are busy, can you come back later or tomorrow that was after I had been waiting for 15 mins. I then asked if i could be given the benefit of the doubt on this occasion the assistant replied if i go upstairs again i’ll get shouted at. Wow it was no longer about the £2.99 it was the principle security cameras had to be checked whether or not i was being honest about the overcharge. i see myself as relatively new at shopping in the store just over 4 years since i moved into the area, not weekly but frequently enough to know the products and I also love supporting local businesses… I left after almost 30 mins leaving my number with the assistant. i don’t know the outcome but i will ask if the money be put in the charity pots they have at the till points. Disappointed !!!

I live very near this shop. It opened soon after we moved here 10 years ago. Then it appeared fresh, friendly and clean with a helpful staff happy to be of service. Now, things are different. I don’t know if the owners have changed, but if you want Turkish food, it’s great. On the other hand, I feel now quite the foreigner(I’m white British). Before you were greeted with a smile — now I feel ignored, especially when the till operators talk in Turkish to their mates WHILETHEY’RESERVINGYOU! Not a nice experience usually, but, as I say, good if you run out of things or want some Turkish delicacy.(I have to give the restaurant attached a separate review.)
