Kleiner, übersichtlicher Minimarkt, der(fast) alles für den täglichen Bedarf hat. Brot und Milch sind frisch, Preise angemessen.

This supermarket is hilariously bad. It’s as though Tesco use it to try out really terrible design ideas. They’ve switched the store around again to make it more conventional and somehow made it worse because now you can barely get through the door for all the people crowding around the doorway. The queues are soul-destroyingly long at weekends too. Just a hassle.

I’ve visited this Tesco several times, usually while visiting Portobello Market. Nothing really sets it apart from any other Tesco. Very average selection and nothing special. Lines may be a touch longer than other stores but they recently remodeled the store so perhaps that alleviates some of the waiting time. I think this is the best grocery store in a 10-block radius or so.

This was my local Tesco, but I knew that if I was going to be coming here I’d better be ready to stand in lines halfway back the freezer case, plug in my iPod, and wait… and wait. and wait… Now, I know its small. But with the market right outside, I usually tried to avoid it as much as I could.
