Ok ok ok. Stop everything. I actually thought I was going to another Indian Restaurant expecting the same things. Well, no! I don’t know if we were lucky or what but we had great food and a great time. We were told the restaurant had been there for 20 years but looked all new and nice. Service was amazing and friendly, food was quick and really good and around 40£ for several things including main dishes, rice, naan, sides, drinks. I had the chickpeas with spinach as a main instead of a side and oh boy. Did I mention they have a really good selection of naan bread? Definitely going to go back and try something new :)

Really, I can’t say this place is outstanding. True, the dishes are good, well cooked, and satisfactory. But the service is, yet again, typical of Indian and Pakistani restaurants in London: grumpy and unfriendly… Also, all dishes taste the same, really… The Lamb Passanda tasted like a Passanda, but so did the Murgh Makhani, which only had a slight reddis colour… Really… Remove some items from your menu, or else make them taste as they should !

This my go-to local, neighbourhood, budget-friendly Indian restaurant, which delivers as well. Nothing fancy here but the food is solid. What I like from their menu: Meat samosa Special butter chicken

Ugh… if you like eating oily food with no real difference in taste between dishes, then this is for you… Food is bland, not tasty, staff are so so, there are only ever around 4 people in the restaurant at a given time & the waiters stand staring at you whilst you eat… very old school English style Indian restaurant/take away… yeah, no… there are much better options around town.

I’ve only been here once so far but I’m sure I’ll be coming a lot more since I just moved to the area. You can’t go wrong with Indian restaurants in London, but the food here is made fresh daily, the interior is clean and professional, and the staff are very friendly.

I tried this restaurant some while back and didn’t enjoy the experience. The food was bland, underspiced and unexciting. Recently, after having a few beers and needing a curry fix, I decided to give it another go. I’m glad to say it has improved drastically. The food is old style Indian which I like, but if you’re looking for a lighter more modern approach to curries you’d be disappointed. The tandoori dishes are great — good sized shell-on prawns — and decent portion sizes. I can particularly recommend the king prawn patiya and the lamb korai. There are plenty of regulars who must’ve been going there forever — always a good sign. Oh, and the house red is ok too.

Decent enough curry house in Islington. I could imagine coming here again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way. I suppose I had a fairly average experience really. Between the starters, main courses, sides and wineI have nothing to complain about. but then nor would I say you have to try this. This isn’t as awful as it sounds though as I think I have been fairly unlucky in London as I have managed to have more bad curries than good ones. I’d probably do better if I wasn’t such a tightRs.
