I love Steve’s! The food is your basic café food – breakfast, spag bol, cottage pie etc etc, but it’s all tasty and the staff is friendly and helpful. And it’s so clean. I has a 5 food hygiene rating. I don’t know what more you could ask for from a café.

Steve’s is pretty much the only place in London where my young cousin will eat. This is because you can get baked potato with beans and apple pie at any time of the day. It’s pretty standard fare for a café but it’s cheerful, none the less.

Great for what it is, you don’t see many nice quality ones like this anymore. Nice to have it here though — it keeps a reality check on the air fairy types living in herne hill and is a nice escape if you want a good breakfast and a big mug of tea after a night out.

Aah, memories! I used to live around the corner from Steve’s Café and although it lacks the European café atmosphere they sure can cook up a good brekkie! A particular favourite of mine are their omelettes.
