I really like getting a shave and when I saw that they do this here at Stasi I was so happy, as it is right near where I live.
So, obviously this is what I came for… and I left quite disappointed: for one, they don’t apply the foam with a brush, but instead use some gel that is supposed to soften the hair even better. Pah! First of all, the latter ain’t true (from my experience) and secondly, the painting of my face with generous amounts of shaving cream is for me an integral part of the shaving experience.
The shave itself was rough — to say the least. Which I attribute to the fact that the gel didn’t actually work. It was not a comfortable experience at all and in the end I went home and had to «patch up» what the barber had been missing.
I only hope that their hair-​cutting skills are more advanced, but I’m not willing to give it a try.
