Starbucks

Just lost a star for getting my order wrong! Starbucks staff seem to get more training with personalising cups than making coffee …
I still think this particular branch makes sense though. Baker Street is such a depressing station. A nicely laid out coffee shop is a welcome addition.
The coffee itself is nothing to write home about (or a review) and the baked goods mass produced and sugary. Still, a welcome fix!

Starbucks-​Filialen stehen und fallen nicht nur mit der Optik und ob alles sauber und aufgeräumt ist, sondern besonders mit dem Service und der Schnelligkeit an der Kaffee-​Ausgabe.
Dieser Starbucks ist bzw. war, als ich ihn besucht habe, so ein Fall.
Klein ist die Filiale, wirkt aber aufgeräumt. Pluspunkt!
An der Kasse, Bestellung aufgegeben, klappte zügig, weiter zur Ausgabe. Pluspunkt!
An der Ausgabe, warten, warten, warten, warten…
Der Barista schien sich an dem Americano, der einem Gast vor mir in der Schlange gehören sollte, festzubeißen.
Immer wieder experimentierte er damit rum. Was er genau macht, erschloss sich mir beim Zugucken nicht wirklich.
Dabei ist ein Americano doch nur ein Espresso, der mit heißem Wasser aufgefüllt wird, damit er nicht so stark ist. Worin lag also die Experimentierfreude?!
Zwischenzeitlich widmete er seine Aufmerksamkeit endlich auch meiner Café Latte, dann wieder dem Americano und nach einigem Gerede mit seinem Kollegen, gab er endlich den «Americano» an den anderen Gast raus.
Aber Stopp! Ein Ausruf hinter der Theke stoppte den Gast mit dem Americano.
Er hatte meine Café Latte bekomme, der Americano stand noch bei dem Barista.
Also alles wieder Retour!
Endlich hatte ich meinen Café Latte in der Hand und war raus. Zum Glück schmeckte mein Kaffeegetränk und war auch noch heiß!

Starbucks is Starbucks. The quality is standard but the location and hours are great. It’s open until 10pm everyday except Sunday which closes at 9pm. Downstairs area is very spacious and has plenty of outlets against the wall and free fast WiFi (beware that downstairs closes at 8pm). This is a great place to get some work or study done. The music is usually jazz. Staff is friendly and recognized me on my second visit. If you just need a place to chat, work, or escape the business of Baker St., you can’t go wrong with this Starbucks.

This is a great spot for relaxation and to escape the crowds on Baker St. It’s also a good place to meet clients and colleagues. Downstairs is relatively quiet. Drinks as usual are fine. The staff is cordial! Recommended! :D stef’s voice 4 u voiceover services

Possibly one of the worst (if not worst) starbucks ever. All the drinks here are terrible for some reason, despite the fact that a different barista makes it every time, so it is only safe to buy the bottled/​canned drinks that are in the cool-​shelfs.
It is small and over-​crowded (being the closest starbucks to baker st. station), and it is too hot inside in the summer, and too cold in the winter. Every surface seems to be sticky as well.
This starbucks really doesn’t have anything going for it in my opinion, other than that its rather conveniently placed, but then, so are about 10 other café’s in the vicinity of Baker St.
