Very disappointing Starbucks visit! Not only do they charge more for the drinks than other starbucks stores(10pence at least per drink!), they have NO toilet facility and the staff are pretty dismal. They ask whether you’re ‘eating in or taking away’ give you a saucer for your cake and a paper cup for your drink but still charge you to eat in, when you in fact HAVE to sit outside! No ceramic cup to be washed and I’m still charged the seat in price for my drink, how’s that work? May be a good idea to display that there’s no toilet before customers go in to buy drinks, drink the drink, then want a toilet only to be told stupid lame directions to the outside public toilet that you pay 50pence to use. I heard that some one or two starbucks stores in higher end locations have a special price(charging extra that is) but why they would do this to a store with NO toilet and NO indoor seating is way beyond my guessing. Just doesn’t make sense to overcharge for such little facilities and to have staff that look miserable serving me just isn’t my cup of tea. So thank you Starbucks in the Hayes Galleria for my poor experience today, on the coldest day this year, I was sent around the houses to a toilet and left outside to drink my hot drink. Had I noticed the costa coffee opposite with indoor seating AND customer toilet, I would have most definitely gone there instead! Should there be a next time, I will avoid this store and it’s non happy staff!

This Starbucks is inside the Hays Galleria, which is close to the Belfast and City Hall. It’s an indoor shopping arcade with a number of shops and restaurants. The Starbucks has a small interior that has the coolers of drinks and pastries as well as the baristas. All the seating is «outside» in the galleria, where they have a small sectioned off area of tables. There is wi-fi, but there are no power outlets. This is a major tourist area, so it is going to be quite busy.

This Starbucks was located right by my hotel on my last stay in London. The baristas were super friendly and talkative. Went in at least twice on my stay there and they remembered me!(It could have been 3 times I don’t remember.) The only sad thing is they didn’t have an ice tea combination I’m used to getting at home, but I wasn’t upset, it was expected when out of my own country. I was just happy they had a Starbucks, I’m not a big fan of Costa Coffee so I was happy to find something to suite my taste buds.
