Spa London

They called to cancel my appointment 45 mins beforehand. Apparently their spa was down for repairs and they forgot to tell me. Still waiting for refund.

I went to Spa London Swiss Cottage for a massage.
The massage I received was good. It was a deep muscle massage and the girl was quite rough. This was okay but don’t expect a relaxing massage! I booked a 50 minute massage so I thought it would last 50 minutes plus 5 minutes before/​after to get undressed/​dressed.
I was brought into the room at 2pm sharp then left for 5 minutes to get ready. After the massage the girl left me for 5 minutes before bringing me water. When I got up to dress I checked the time as I didn’t have the impression the massage really last 50 minutes. And it was 2:43. So the massage itself didn’t even last 35 minutes. I really got the impression to have been cheated. Yes, it’s not expensive but it’s not a 50 min massage!
The premises are great, clean, looked brand new. However they don’t have toilets in the spa. You have to go to the changing room of the Gym of the leisure centre and walk along a corridor. There were kids running in the corridor and the smell in the changing room wasn’t very nice (or all the naked women getting changed!). I’m not fussy about kids at all (I got 2 at home) but if I go to a spa it’s to relax and be in a quite environment.
I used a £100 Spafinder voucher to pay for a £52 massage. Unfortunately, once you’ve gone to this spa, you have to use the balance at the same spa. This is a shame a I didn’t have the experience I was expecting so I would have preferred to go to another spa and get a better treatment.

The newly added spa treatment rooms at the Swiss Cottage Leisure Center are modern, awesome, and perfect for a little self pampering when your bank account has a bit of leeway (at least until an upcoming pay day)
I booked a pretty intense and lush Spa Escape package which included a Swedish massage, salt scrub and facial. All were executed amazingly, courtesy of Christina… although I was slightly embarrassed when I let out a little snore whilst dozing off during the facial… oops. Quality products, coupled with Portugese ambient tunes and your own private shower in the room. Very chill and worth the money.
I would definitely pass on the manicure though. I do a decent enough job on my own nails to not pay 2000x more for a treatment in this area. NOT LEGIT peeps!
