This is a proper traditional bike shop and it’s great. It’s got that wonderful combination of part workshop and part shopshop. In the two inner rooms they both sell new and used bikes and also make and mend others. Many of the bikes in the shop are their own brand and they are mighty fine bikes — in an old school upright way you’d especially like if you were Dutch and totally unafraid at the thought of having no acceleration power to get away from bendy buses. Because of the craftsmanship many of the bikes are obviously quite expensive but you can easily pick up a second hand one you wouldn’t know wasn’t new for around 100 quid. They also do a good range of kid’s bikes here so check those out too.
